Tonight we’re finalists for Victorian Salon of the Year at the AHIA Hair Awards, and I’ve been thinking about what this year has really been about.

Yes, the business has grown. But the thing I’m proudest of is what you can’t see from the outside. A space where people feel safe enough to be vulnerable. Where someone can walk in nervous and unsure, and slowly, quietly, find their confidence.

We invest in education, in our brand and most of all in our people, so that whatever chapter comes next, they leave a better version of themselves.

There are 33 people inside Telleish. That’s 33 livelihoods, 33 families, 33 futures being built here every day. That doesn’t land lightly with me, and it never will.

So whatever happens tonight, I already know what the real win is. It’s all of you.

Telleish turned 18! 🎂

For 18 years, you’ve trusted us with your hair, your big days, your fresh starts and your “just a trim” appointments that turned into two hour catch ups. You’re the reason we get to do what we love.

So we celebrated the only way we know how: cupcakes, balloons, a DJ on the floor, and 18 photos of every team that’s ever looked after you. (One very special team member made it into TEN of them, swipe to find out who 👀)

A special thank you to our beautiful Loraine, who has been sitting in our chairs since the very beginning. Her prices haven’t changed since 2009, because she’s simply the best.

To every client who has walked through our doors, whether it was 18 years ago or last week: thank you for growing up with us. We couldn’t have done any of it without you 🤎

Why do we do this ? Because our industry needs
apprentices ! We need to develop mentor and celebrate our up and coming artists before we become a trade without them ….

One night that is all about them , they work on a final look and present it to our entire team , their family, friends and industry peers .

It’s fast becoming one of our all time favourite nights & it’s just good for the soul - to see so many parents in the crowd and see their faces after they complete is worth everything ‘ 🙌🙌🙌🙌

It costs nothing ( well a few bottles of w**e ) 🍷 but honesty it gives you so much more !
