Water is a tool but the tool has to match the coat 💦

On a Shih Tzu, that means backing the pressure right off.

🚿 Gentle flow, not a hard jet. High pressure on a long silky coat pushes it in every direction and creates knots you didn’t start with
🌊 Work the water through in the direction the coat falls, not against it
🖐️ Let the water do the work. Squeeze and release rather than rubbing and scrubbing
♨️ Warm, not hot
⏱️ Take your time on the soak. A properly wet coat needs less product and less handling

The water should work with the coat, not fight it. Get that right and half your drying and brushing is already done.

What a fabulous and inspiring day at our Kerry Blue Terrier grooming seminar! 🩷🐾✂️

We had the best bunch of groomers together for a day of grooming, learning, laughing, swapping stories and, of course… eating A LOT of delicious food!

It was such a great opportunity to get hands-on with this beautiful breed, share knowledge, pick up new ideas and be inspired by each other. There’s nothing quite like getting a group of passionate groomers together!

A huge thank you to Rhonda and Ollie for making the day extra special. 🩷 Thank you, Rhonda, for taking time out of your busy schedule to bring gorgeous Ollie along for me to groom and Ollie, you were definitely the star of the show! 🐶⭐️
