The air you’re breathing right now is about 21% oxygen. On EWOT it’s 95%.
Here’s the bit most people get wrong. At rest your red blood cells are already about 97% full, so breathing harder on its own does almost nothing. You need to be working for it to matter. That’s why the bike is there.
Most people book it for brain fog. Your brain uses roughly a fifth of all the oxygen you take in, which probably explains a lot.
If you train, it’s not another session. It’s the thing that gets you back out there on Tuesday instead of Thursday.
You don’t need to be fit for it either. You go at whatever pace you can manage and it still works.
It’s 15 minutes. You can genuinely do it before work.
We’ve also got VO2 max testing here, so if you want to see what it’s actually doing, get a number before you start and another one after a block of it. You don’t have to take my word for any of it.
