Dear qld friends, clients and community…the time has come for me to brave the sweaty north to adorn your scalps with tidier locs
Please reach out if you’d like to book in. I may ask you for a deposit for the booking as touring is a lot to organise.
I recommend getting maintenance around 2-3 months in the beginning of your journey so things don’t get out of hand.
Especially if you have a sensitive scalp..:best not to avoid it because it builds up to a bigger job.
If you are sensitive please let me know and I can offer some breathing techniques to support the process!
I’m a big fan of not interlocking your hair. You can see the difference in this video.
It’s a technique commonly used in some African styles and can work well for their hair and the different looks they want to achieve but in my opinion…it’s not dreads and it ain’t gonna end well.
I crocheted like a crazy lady to give these babies a better head start!

Do you like the sneaky dread look? This is less common in men and I still love it…
Please know they need support in the first few months, if you add just a few dreads in with your whole head of hair and just forget about it a crazy party in the back will happen !

Strangely this work has been the most consistent thing in my life.
When I realise I’ve had clients for over ten years and they cross oceans to see me it is very humbling.
And it’s like catching up with old friends.
