One of the most common issues women speak to me about is puffy eyesβ€” and nine times out of ten, it's because you are using an eye cream and applying it wrong.

Applying inward or too lightly barely moves the fluid that causes puffiness. The trick is working outward, along the orbital bone, with real pressure β€” firm enough to actually stimulate the area, not just pat something on top of it. And creams are too heavy for this delicate skin.

That's exactly what I'm showing in this clip with the Firming Eye & Lip Oil.
Let me know if you are struggling with puffiness, and I'll share my full eye-area routine.

"I don't have the breakout that I used to."

That's Chantelle, a few months into her Annod ritual. And it's exactly why I formulate the way I do β€” not for a marketing claim, but for real skin with a real history of frustration.

Before Annod, her words were: "I've used a lot of skin products in my time... some just make my skin breakout immediately." I hear this constantly in my line of work β€” women who've tried everything the industry throws at them, and still end up disappointed.

Watch her apply the Firming Pink Clay Mask, then listen to what changed: so many more makeup-free days, skin that feels smoother, and no more of the breakouts that used to follow every new product she tried.

This is the whole point of formulating properly.

Every Annod formula starts here. Not in a factory, not off a shelf β€” in small batches, made by hand, in a bowl not so different to this one.

I started formulating my own products after years as a therapist recommending other brands to clients β€” good brands, well-known ones β€” that still weren't getting them the results their skin actually needed. So eventually I stopped recommending and started making. Every formula since has been built around a real skin concern I saw in the treatment room, not a marketing trend.

This is what that process actually looks like. Boutique batches. Real ingredients. Made by hand, every time. 🀍

We asked how you apply your moisturiser β€” and the results told me something worth fixing. Over half of you are doing it in a way that's working against your skin, not with it.

So here's the right way, the technique I've taught in the treatment room for over 30 years: press the product into the skin first β€” don't just spread it over the surface. Then use a firm lymphatic massage movement, working outward and down the neck, following the direction of the muscles.
This isn't just about getting product on your face β€” it's about moving blood, oxygen and lymphatic flow at the same time. That's what makes the difference.

It takes a little more intention than a quick rub-in, but it's genuinely one of the most valuable ten seconds in your whole routine.

Watch the video for exactly how I do it. And if you commented 1, 2 or 3 on the poll β€” I'd love to know if this matches what you guessed.

Here's one that surprises almost everyone I've ever had in my treatment chair: your moisturiser should go on from the outside of your face, working in to the middle β€” not the other way around.

Most of us were not taught this, so no wonder!
Watch the video for why it matters, especially for skin over 40.
Were you doing it this way already?
I'd love to know.

A quick one for you today β€” and I'm genuinely curious about this one.

How do you apply your moisturiser? Comment below:
1 β€” It doesn't matter, I just get it on
2 β€” From the middle of my face, sweeping outwards
3 β€” From the outside edges, working in to the middle

Most of us were never actually taught this!
I'll share the answer tomorrow, along with why I've taught it this way for OVER 30 years. I have a feeling the results are going to surprise a few of you…

Let's talk about the two areas that show age first: around the eyes, and around the lips. It's not bad luck β€” it's anatomy. The skin in both areas is the finest on your face, and it has little to no natural oil flow of its own. It simply cannot maintain itself the way your cheeks can, which is why it needs its own specialty product β€” not whatever's left on your hands after moisturising. In this video I'm showing you exactly how I apply our Firming Eye & Lip Oil in the treatment room: right out to the very edge of any lines, a nice firm lymphatic movement if you tend to be puffy, and always one direction over the lip area, working with the muscle. Morning and night is your best method.
Watch it through β€” this is the technique I've taught clients for over 30 years. 🀍

A birthday night out with my husband on the weekend β€” and a photo I actually love of us. People often assume that as a skin therapist I must have some elaborate routine before an event.

The truth? Five steps, about five minutes, before my makeup went on: the Soothing Chamomile Mist to prep, Anti-Aging Papaya Extract, Firming Eye & Lip Oil, the Leave-On Collagen Mask, and Toning Herbal DΓ©colletage Oil β€” because your skin doesn't stop at your jawline, especially in a nice neckline.

That's it. After 30 years working withwomens skin, the biggest thing I've learned is this: good skin isn't about doing more as you get older. It's about doing the right things, consistently, for long enough. 🀍

This is Sue. She's 63, and she bought her very first jar from me thirty years ago β€” back when my formulas were hand-labelled brown bottles, long before the name Annod existed. This week I packed her latest order, and it tells the whole story: a complete ritual, built step by step over three decades. Cleanser, exfoliant, masks, oils β€” each one earned its place on her shelf. And now her daughter uses them too. When I asked Sue why she's stayed all these years, she didn't give me a paragraph: 'It's the results.' Thirty years. Two generations. You can't buy that with a marketing budget. Thank you Sue, for three decades of trust. 🀍 Follow Annod for more real women and their routines β€” professional guidance for mature skin, from a therapist, not a trend."

This is Michelle. She's 51, and she filmed her actual routine in her actual bathroom β€” no studio, no filter, no script.
You'll hear her say it in the first three seconds, and it's my favourite moment: "51 years old… I'm smart." That's it. That's the whole philosophy.
Watch how she does it: the Balancing mist first, to prepare the skin. Then the Anti Aging Papaya Enzyme exfoliant β€” and notice she takes her time massaging. That's not her being indulgent, that's exactly how it should be done. A Enriching Jojoba Cream to finish, just a small amount, worked around the face.
No twelve-step routine. No harsh actives. Just the right products, used properly, by a woman who knows her skin.
Thank you Michelle. 🀍
