Why the under-eye area often shows age first!
The skin here is some of the thinnest on the body, with very little fat to cushion what lies beneath — so structural changes underneath show through early.
A few things happen as we age:
The orbital bone gradually recedes, removing the scaffolding soft tissue once relied on. Fat pads that sit in careful balance shift — thinning in places, appearing to bulge in others. Collagen and elastin decline, so skin loses its resilience. And the ligaments anchoring everything loosen, letting tissue descend.
Together, this is what creates the tear trough hollow and shadowing so many clients describe as looking “tired” — even when they’re not.

July was a busy one! Lots of education this month for all of our nurses! Nurse Bree completed dermal filler training at Galderma head office as well as a Cadaver course at Sydney Eye Hospital, Nurse Lea completed her laser safety officer certificate and the girls attended a dinner on the effects of rapid weight loss on the face. They also completed in-house training using biostimulators under the eyes - great for correctional rejuvenation.
Our CO2 laser doesn’t ever have a day of rest - the results speak for themselves! We perform a multitude of laser treatments in clinic which are performed by our certified Registered Nurses - all targeting differing skin concerns from sun damage to redness, broken capillaries, tattoo removal, leg veins and skin rejuvenation.
July saw Karen have a little get away with Kristen & Lily at front of house - couldn’t do it without our girls on the front desk! 🙌🏻
August is a busy one too. Nurse Jane is heading away for the last two weeks. Nurse Lea & Bree are in clinic Tuesday to Friday.
