What about a spray tan while breastfeeding?

Because DHA isn’t absorbed into the bloodstream in meaningful amounts, spray tanning is generally considered safe while breastfeeding. If you’re ever unsure, it’s always worth a quick check with your doctor or midwife, especially if you have sensitive skin or any other concerns.

If you’re worried about any solution transferring during a feed, you can time your feeds around a spray of our rapid tan. Feed immediately before your appointment, then go straight in for your tan. Rapid tan only needs to be left on for up to 2 hours, so you can rinse off within that window (or earlier, once you’ve hit your desired depth) before your next feed is due. Wash off, then feed as normal.

Exfoliate — yes, every time, no skipping it. Buff off dead skin, old tan, and anything sitting between you and a flawless glow.

❗️ But don’t shower right before your appointment. ❗️

Hot water and fresh-scrubbed skin right before your tan can affect how the solution grips to your skin, so exfoliate the night before or earlier in the day, then let your skin settle before you come in.
