Spring doesn’t mean your skin needs an overhaul.
It simply needs us to pay attention.

As the weather warms, you might notice small shifts in hydration, oil flow, texture or sensitivity ~ or your skin may continue quite happily as it is. There’s no single spring routine that suits everyone.

Our Spring Balancing Facial is suitable for almost every skin type, condition or presentation.

It brings together enzyme exfoliation, concentrated Dermaviduals actives, a highly enriched kaolin clay gel mask, and Max+ LED to replenish, clarify, and support healthy skin function.

Available in 70- and 90-minute options throughout spring.

Book online via the link in our bio, or get in touch if you’d like to update an existing appointment.

There’s no shortage of skin advice. The hard part is knowing what actually applies to you.

That’s why we put so much value on proper assessment. We want to understand your skin before we start making recommendations — not simply match a product or treatment to a concern.

If you’re tired of researching, second-guessing and wondering what your skin actually needs, start with our New Client Experience.

Comprehensive consultation. Observ®520x skin analysis. Customised treatment. Take-home product and a follow up appointment all included in one package.

And, most importantly, a clear strategy for what comes next.

Less guessing. More understanding. Book via the link in bio.

A simple way to support collagen and skin renewal between appointments.

Home rolling, also known as cosmetic rolling, gives the skin a gentle, controlled stimulus that supports its natural renewal processes and the production of collagen and elastin.

With consistent use, it can help improve:
~ Fine lines
~ Skin firmness and density
~ Visible pores
~ Uneven tone and texture
~ Pigmentation and post-acne marks

But before you buy the first cheap roller you see online, it’s worth knowing that not all rollers are created equal.

Needle quality, depth and construction matter. A poorly made roller, used incorrectly or on skin that isn’t ready, can cause more irritation than improvement.

The MTS Home Roller is designed for safe epidermal rolling, with 200 very fine stainless-steel needles creating precise microchannels in the skin.

It’s easy to work into your routine and a valuable way to keep supporting rejuvenation at home.

We’ll make sure your skin is properly prepared and guide you on the correct roller depth, frequency of use and technique for your individual skin.

Curious whether home rolling has a place in your skin plan? Get in touch with our team or ask us at your next appointment.

Sleep is when so much of the body’s repair and restoration takes place, and our skin benefits from that time too.

Of course, “just get more sleep” isn’t particularly helpful advice. Life happens. Babies wake, hormones shift, work schedules change, stress creeps in, bodies hurt, minds stay busy. Sometimes a good night’s sleep simply isn’t on the cards.

So this isn’t about perfect sleep or adding another thing to the list of things you should be doing. It’s about understanding the role sleep plays in skin health, and supporting better rest in the small ways available to you.

Janet was overheard in the treatment room this week saying, “I’m an old-fashioned facialist. I’ve been working hands-on with skin for 30 years, well before all the technology and whizz bang machines came along.”

This says something important about the way we practise skin therapy at Plume.

We value the information our technology gives us. Observ imaging allows us to look beneath the surface. LED supports cellular processes. Corrective modalities help us create purposeful change.

But none of that has made touch less important.
Experienced hands pick up warmth, tension, texture, tenderness and changes in the way the tissue moves.

Facial massage can support circulation, relieve muscular tension, assist fluid movement and improve the way the skin and underlying tissues feel and function.

There is also value in the effect of steady touch on the nervous system.

Slow, intentional touch communicates safety → as the nervous system feels safer, it can shift out of a protective, vigilant state and into one that supports rest, repair and healing.

Hands-on therapy isn’t just to make a clinical facial feel more relaxing.

It is part of the clinical work.

Effective skin therapy brings both together: the precision of modern technology and the skill that comes from decades of working hands-on with skin.

A glimpse into some of the conversations we’ve been having in the treatment room this week.

This is what skin therapy looks like at Plume Skin.

Our role isn’t just to recommend products or perform treatments. It’s to listen, connect the dots, and understand the person sitting in front of us.

Your skin doesn’t exist separately from your health, routines, work, stress, medications, goals or the season of life you’re moving through.

These conversations, and all the seemingly small details that come up within them, help us understand your skin more completely.

The better we understand you and what may be influencing your skin, the more purposeful we can be with your home care, treatments and what your skin may need next.

If this sounds like the kind of care you’ve been looking for, our New Client Experience is the right place to begin. You can book via the link in our bio.

Six wavelengths of light. Each wavelength reaches different depths, triggering different biological responses within the skin.

Violet [415nm] / targets acne-causing bacteria at the skin’s surface, useful for active breakouts.

Blue [450nm] / calms excess oil activity and surface inflammation.

Green [525nm] / supports more even-looking tone and is often used for diffused redness, pigmentation, reactive or sensitised skin.

Yellow [590nm] / reduces redness & excess vascular activity (ideal for rosacea), while supporting circulation and lymphatic flow.

Red [633nm] / the primary collagen-supporting wavelength. It stimulates fibroblast activity, supports healing, and improves overall skin vitality.

Infrared [830nm] / works deepest within the tissue. Although invisible to the eye during treatment, it plays an important role in tissue repair, inflammation reduction, and overall skin recovery.

At Plume Skin, these wavelengths are combined differently with each and every treatment, depending on your skin’s condition and goals.

LED with Max+ is included in all Customised and Corrective facials or as a standalone treatment. Book via link in bio.
