As we look back on years of Esstudio memories, one thing becomes clearer than the hair, colour, and chaos…

It was always about the connections.

The friendships, the stories, the laughter, the trust — and a collection of memories that will stay with us far beyond the salon walls. What we created was never just a space for hair, but a space for people.

And yes… if you arrived wearing great glasses or a good hat, Aleks probably borrowed them for a selfie 📸 (some traditions are too strong to break).

But behind the fun, there’s something deeper we want to acknowledge.

This journey was never built alone. It existed because of the people around it — those who shaped, supported, and believed in it at every stage.

From our legal and financial teams, to our designers and pitch queen who turned ideas into something real and on-brand, to our backend team who kept everything running with care and purpose.

To the friends who said “yes” before it all made sense, and helped bring the vision to life.

And to Aleks — whose creativity and chaos has always sparked something bigger, opening doors for others to grow and connect.

There were so many more people than we could ever fit into these pictures — every client, collaborator, and familiar face who passed through the doors and left a mark in their own way.

At the heart of it all is connection. The kind that holds everything together.

This was never just about building spaces or brands. It was about people, trust, growth, and shared purpose.

To everyone who has been part of this story ……thank you. You helped shape something far more meaningful than we could have created alone.

What began with a team of two grew into something far bigger than we could have imagined.

Over the years, Esstudio became a place filled with creativity, conversations, laughter, late nights, team dinners, unforgettable clients and friendships that reached far beyond the salon.

Looking back through these photos, it’s the people we remember most.

The ones who worked beside us.
The ones who trusted us.
The ones who became family.

Esstudio was never just about hair and beauty.

It was about connection, community and the memories we made along the way.

And while one chapter has come to a close, the next is already beginning.

Every story starts somewhere

Ours started with an empty warehouse, a vision and a lot of hard work.
We set out to create a salon unlike any other. An artistic space where creatives could express themselves, feel inspired, and where every client walked through the door feeling welcomed, relaxed and at home.

Looking back after 15 years, we realise it was never just about hair and beauty. It was about the people, the connections, the conversations, the friendships and the feeling you left with.

The past two weeks have been filled with hugs, laughter, happy tears and so many beautiful moments.

After 15 incredible years, we’ve officially closed the doors to our Chippendale warehouse. While it’s the end of an era, it’s certainly not the end of Esstudio.

To every client who walked through our doors, every smile shared, every story told, every celebration, every challenge and every friendship that grew within these walls… thank you.

You made this place feel like home.

As we pack up one chapter, we’re already looking ahead to the next. The walls may have changed, but the people, the passion and the heart behind Esstudio remain exactly the same.

We’ll continue doing what we’ve always loved, helping people feel good, and we can’t wait to see you again.

This isn’t goodbye.

It’s simply see you soon.

As we prepare to leave the space we’ve called home for the past 15 years, we’ve been asking clients to share their favourite Esstudio memories.

This space has been the backdrop to so many good hair days, big life chats, happy tears, questionable fringe decisions, and some pretty incredible transformations 🧡

We’ve laughed a lot, created work we’re so proud of, and shared countless moments with all of you. This little corner of Esstudio has been so much more than just a salon.

As we close this chapter on 27 June, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to every person who’s sat in our chairs, trusted us with their hair, and been part of the journey.

As we ease into our next chapter, Esstudio will be opening two days a week going forward. Our opening days will change weekly to work around everyone’s schedules, so stay tuned for updates.

Here are our July dates, and trust us, you’ll want to book ahead before your fringe starts making its own decisions.

One more thing… if you’d like to see us at Queen Street before we pack up the good vibes and move on, make sure you book in before 27 June. This little space has been home to a lot of great hair, questionable lunch choices, therapy sessions disguised as appointments, and plenty of laughs.
