I did it. ❤️
On Thursday, Brett and I crossed the finish line at HYROX.
And at the risk of oversharing… this one wasn’t exactly set up for success.
I had my period.
We both had head colds.
Brett tore his calf muscle the week before.
There were plenty of reasons to say, “Not today.”
But we showed up.
Not because we felt amazing, but because we’d committed to ourselves and to each other.
I’m honestly so proud of us.
This experience reminded me that big goals are almost never achieved through one big effort. They’re built through hundreds of small decisions that no one else really sees.
Six months ago I started training. Not with marathon sessions or an elite program, because that’s just not realistic for me. I squeezed in runs and 20 minute strength sessions whenever possible, and did what I could with the time I had.
Those small, imperfect, consistent actions eventually added up to crossing a finish line I once thought was completely out of reach.
It’s funny because it’s exactly what I talk about every day in clinic.
Whether it’s your fitness, your skin, your health or almost anything worth working towards, lasting results rarely come from doing something extreme once. They come from showing up consistently, even when life gets busy, even when motivation disappears, and even when the conditions aren’t perfect.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You just have to keep showing up and taking those small steps.
Today, that got me across a HYROX finish line. And I think that’s a pretty good reminder that consistency will almost always take you further than perfection ever will.

It’s hard to put into words just how impactful Monday was.
I had the privilege of spending the day in a cadaver anatomy lab with the incredible team at .au learning from David Eccleston , and from the Evolus Medical Affairs team.
It was one of those experiences that reminds you just how extraordinary the human body really is.
People often ask why I spend so much time travelling for education, attending conferences and investing in advanced training. The answer is simple: because every single person who walks through my door deserves the very best of me.
Anatomy isn’t static. Every face is beautifully different, and no textbook or online lecture can replicate the depth of understanding that comes from learning in an environment like this. Seeing anatomy layer by layer changes the way you think. It sharpens your assessment, deepens your respect for anatomical variation, and ultimately helps you make better clinical decisions.
For me, education has never been about collecting certificates or ticking boxes. It’s about continually asking, “How can I do this better? How can I make this safer? How can I provide the highest standard of care possible?”
I’m incredibly grateful to the Evolus team and to the faculty for sharing their knowledge so generously. Opportunities like this don’t just make us better practitioners, they make us safer, more thoughtful clinicians.
Every course, every conference and every anatomy lab is an investment back into the care I provide for you.
And that investment is one I’ll never stop making. 🤍

One thing I never want to lose is curiosity.
Whether I’m in clinic, training other nurses or sitting in a conference room full of industry leaders, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, ask questions, and challenge my own thinking.
The best outcomes don’t come from knowing everything. They come from staying engaged, staying teachable, and being willing to ask the questions that deepen your understanding.
Every conference, every conversation, and every expert perspective adds another layer to the care I provide my patients.
Because when you choose to never stop learning, your patients benefit too. ✨
Juv’ae | Cosmetic Collective Conference and Awards

Today, I was privileged enough to spend the day learning and networking at the 2026 Cosmetic Collective conference Juv’ae | Cosmetic Collective Conference and Awards by Juv'ae | Advancing Cosmetic Nurses, Together
I’m so grateful that I got to listen to insights and opinions from such a wide variety of speakers and thought leaders.
Some of the key takeaways from today’s sessions were:
- How to approach facial volume restoration after rapid weight loss.
- The importance of the consultation, treatment planning and skincare.
- The energy I bring into clinic and the treatment room 🫶
There were so many small and big moments of learning today and I’m excited to see what amazing insights tomorrow will bring!

PLOT TWIST! Your face wash might be exfoliating your skin…
When most people think of exfoliation, they picture a gritty scrub physically buffing away dead skin cells. But many of the products already sitting in your bathroom cabinet could be exfoliating your skin without you even realising it.
Ingredients like glycolic acid, lactic acid and salicylic acid, are all exfoliators. You might find them in cleansers, serums, toners or treatment products, quietly working behind the scenes.
This is where it’s easy to accidentally overdo things. If you’re using an exfoliating cleanser, layering active serums, applying a retinoid, and adding a facial scrub because you think you’re “not exfoliating,” your skin barrier might have other ideas.
Healthy skin isn’t about using more products or stronger ingredients. It’s about finding the right balance for your skin and giving it what it actually needs.
The next time you review your skincare routine, take a closer look at the ingredient lists. You may be exfoliating far more than you realise. ✨
Not sure if your routine is helping you reach your skin goals or holding you back? Bring your products to your next appointment, and together we’ll assess what’s working, what isn’t, and how to create a routine that supports healthy, resilient skin.
A little behind the scenes of content day… 🎥
One thing people are often surprised to learn is that I still create all of my own content (with a little help filming from .creative !)
Every caption, every reel, every educational post, every story, every response to your messages… it’s me.
Not because outsourcing is wrong, but because I never want to lose my voice.
The information I share is based on the conversations I’m having in clinic every day. The questions you ask. The concerns you bring to consultations. The things I wish more people knew about skin, ageing and self-care.
Could someone else create content for me? Probably.
But it wouldn’t sound quite like me.
So while content days often involve multiple outfit changes, talking to a camera in an empty room, re-recording things because I stumbled over my words, and spending far too much time editing… it’s a part of my business that I genuinely enjoy.
Because it allows me to show up here exactly as I am.
Thanks for being here and following along. 🤍
One of the biggest shifts in modern aesthetics is moving away from “quick fixes” and toward more balanced, long-term treatment planning.
Because facial ageing doesn’t happen in just one layer.
Changes occur across:
✨ bone structure
✨ fat compartments
✨ muscle activity
✨ skin quality
Which is why natural-looking outcomes often come from combining treatment modalities thoughtfully and proportionately, rather than overcorrecting a single concern.
In clinic, this is why consultations matter so much.
A personalised approach will almost always age better than chasing trends or isolated fixes 🤍
Healthy, resilient skin is rarely about doing MORE.
The best long term results usually come from consistency, balance and supporting overall skin function.
Of your skin has been feeling irritated, dehydrated, reactive or just “off” - it may be worth simplifying your routine and focusing on g on barrier support for awhile.
