✨Lash Retention and Refills Explained
We often get asked about lash retention, how long they last, how they look after 2 to 3 weeks, and what a refill involves.
The photos above show one of our clients who prefers a subtle classic set, with shorter lengths and slightly longer lashes at the outer corners.
The first photo shows her lashes after 3 weeks. By this stage, some extensions have naturally shed and some have grown out, so the lashes can look a bit gappy and uneven.
The second photo shows the lashes after a refill. During the appointment, the lashes are thoroughly cleaned, outgrown extensions are removed, and new lashes are applied closer to the lash line. This brings the set back to a full, fresh look.
The retention also depends on several factors, including your natural lash cycle, lifestyle, aftercare, and how oily your skin or eye area is. Things like rubbing your eyes, using oil-based products, or not following proper aftercare can also affect how long your extensions last. Because of this, retention can vary from person to person. Some clients naturally hold their lashes longer, while others may need refills sooner. To maintain a full and polished look, regular refills are recommended.
