When you see a before and after like this, the price tag can feel like a lot. Especially when it doesn’t consider any aftercare products 👀

This is a full transformation on seriously thick, long hair and there are a lot of moving parts as to what the price reflects.

Firstly, time.

Although 6 hours in the chair is actually really efficient for this level of transformation, time is the biggest driver of cost in any hair service and it truly can’t be cut down. It covers ethical wages, our rent & all our other overheads.

Next up, the cost of colour.

We dispensed over $300 in colour product alone. High quality colour isn’t cheap and we don’t take that lightly. We don’t overmix it, or waste it. We use a system that weighs every formula accurately to the gram and tells us what it costs us on the back end.

Damage control.

Two applications of K18 throughout the service to keep the hair in the best possible condition while we worked through bleaching out such vibrant colour work on long, fragile hair.

Skill and experience.

Salon owner, proven track record of beautiful results, tonnes of awards,18 years behind the chair and consistent ongoing education.

A fresh haircut & The ongoing plan.

We’ve mapped out a 12-week maintenance schedule where the full service only happens once or twice a year, with targeted touch-ups on visible areas in between. That’s 4 times a year max, and we know that our next appointments will likely be half that cost.

Now, for full transparency - Jade spent the day as a hair model with Stevie, so this wasn’t what the service cost her out of pocket. But we wanted to give you a real, honest look at what
goes into a transformation like this, and where your money actually goes.

It’s not within everyone’s budget for a transformation of this level, but we won’t compromise on quality. What we will do, is always respect your budget and be honest about what is achievable within it 💘

Because we are honest here - It took us a few minor adjustments to get this perfect, but the result, time and effort was absolutely worth it 🖤 Toni, thank you for the patience with us so we could get it perfect for you until our next visit ✨

Soon, we say a bittersweet farewell to our Trinity 💘

Trin has been part of the Hearts & Hues team for three years now, and boy has it been a whirlwind.

Since moving back to Cunderdin at the start of the year, she’s been taking on 4 hour round trips to and from work, 3 days a week.

Through the good times and bad, that dedication tells you everything you need to know about her.

With rising fuel costs, life changes & other commitments - Trinity has made the tough decision to find a workplace in the country and will be finishing up with us on Friday as her last day.

We have been contacting everyone over the last few weeks, so with all that sorted - all that’s left to say is this:

As a salon owner; it’s tough finding team members that are the right fit. Ones that love what they do, show up and care about their clients. I’m very grateful to have that in our team, and that Trinity has been a part of that.

Trin, We’ll miss your energy in the salon every day (and boy don’t we know you have a LOT
of it) You’ve made great friends here, and that doesn’t change.
