Maturing Emotionally ⬇️ or as some call it Healing ❤️🩹
Some people think that healing or maturity means you no longer get triggered… and to some degree, they are right ➡️ but equally very wrong
Tending to, processing and letting go of past experiences/ trauma and or “feeling the feels” of the past (ie ✨Healing ✨)
Expands our CAPACITY to deal with “triggers”
It gives us the ABILITY to process new triggers in real time
It gives us the awareness and SKILLS of what to do in those situations
Just like cleaning your house, if you’ve got years and years of “sh!t” laying around
A) it takes energy to step over things
B) it can be a bit stinky
C) it’s not nice for others to be around
D) it can be really overwhelming to start
We have to start small - in action
Even if you get a cleaner in… your habits of “living clean” still need to be addressed
Step 1️⃣ stop adding to the mess
(Practice curiosity in real time activation)
Step 2️⃣ let in some air
(Learn to breathe)
Step 3️⃣ tend to one room
(Put things where they belong, or give them a place, or throw them in a bin)
4️⃣ keep that room tidy, as you then focus on another
5️⃣ repeat 1️⃣ to 4️⃣
Hey presto… a clean house, a “clean” mind and a capacity to feel feels as they arise
🙌🏻 Emotional Maturity 🙌🏻
Isolation is the enemy ⬇️
We’ve all been there, whether it’s a break up, a conflict, bad news, a death, a disappointment, or an injustice…
The cloud 9 feeling seems so unreachable
The dark clouds, suffocating
The mind, ruminating and withering inwards
The stories start, the beliefs intensify, the possibility for relief becomes singular
We’ve all been there (if you haven’t, I’m happy for you, and I hope you never do)
Isolation is the enemy
Withdrawal feels right… but isn’t
Yes, you do have to keep going yourself
But you don’t have to do it by yourself
Connect, start working towards something, grow from the darkness
Don’t do it alone, and if you think there’s no one there for you…
I’d stand with you
Your Loving Brother ❤️🔥

There are very few Men that have Brotherhood.
A” ride or die” brother
A “I can share anything with” mate
A friend, that truly wants to see you win
A “let’s get it done” comrade
Sure there’s the blokes we see at work or the gym
Or the lads we hit the pub with, or play sport along side
Most men put all their energy in finding a partner to be their support / social network.
Most Men will disappear from friendship groups as soon as the meet someone/ enter a relationship
And “the boys” don’t seem as appealing if you want to stop drinking/ start growing or settling down
And so, the isolation sets in
The loneliness and exhaustion grows
The resentment and anxiety compounds
Brotherhood IS possible
Community AND Connection is possible
Having Men in your corner
Men to lean on
Men to grow along side
Men to celebrate with
And Men to hold you accountable
It’s all possible…
That’s what brotherhood is 💪🏻
Do wish for it… Go find it
Live and learn, learn and live. Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk
Come along for the ride, as I build a Meaningful Mens Movement, focused solely on Connection, Direction and Growth for Men.
Think Group work without the therapy
Think a MasterMind without the Performative Egos
Brotherhood without the Culty “secret boys club”
Each man ready and willing, joins a squad (in person or online)
He connects with other Men
He learns about himself via listening to others
He adds his value/ experiences
He is kept accountable
He helps keep others accountable
He works towards something meaningful to him
He grows as a man, helps lead others to do the same
And that’s it
That’s what I am building
In 10-20 years time, there will be at least one AMP (alchemy of man project) Squad in every major town here in Australia.
There will be 1 million Men that have sat in an AMP Squad, and learnt about themselves and help others to to do the same
This is day 1 of a long road
I am up to 10 men so far
No sales, No convincing, No force.
Honesty, transparency, integrity
