There’s more to new packaging than how it looks on a shelf.

When we design a new pack, we’re thinking about how it feels, how it functions, how long it lasts, and what happens when it’s empty. Here are some of the things we consider:

Colour is part of Skin Juice’s DNA, so we look for shades with depth, movement and a sense of vitality.

𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆.
Clear elements let you see what’s left, know when you’re running low, and make refilling easier to plan.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹𝘀.
Soft matte finishes, embossed details, weight, grip, and shape all matter. We want the vessel to echo the sensorial experience of the formula inside.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁.
Readability, durability, dosing and ease of use all come from real-world feedback. If something can work better in the bathroom, treatment room or travel case, we take that seriously.

𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁.
We consider material choice, recyclability, breakage, shipping weight, refillability and whether existing components can be used before introducing something new.

That’s why the transition is gradual, and why change can take time.
Every decision is intentional.

Skin Juice founder Jo Dampney wanted to create a rich body butter for dry, itchy skin - something deeply moisturising, comforting and easy to reach for every day.

The first version launched as Moisture Manic and quickly became a daily essential. Over time, both the formula and the name evolved into Super Fruit - the rich, nutrient-packed body butter we know today.

Same purpose. A new name, and a formula that kept evolving with it.

Perfect Paws started in the treatment room.

In 1996, Skin Juice founder Jo Dampney created it for the signature manicure and pedicure ritual at her original salon, Revel in Beauty. She wanted something that felt smoothing, soothing and light on the skin, without the greasy finish hand creams were known for.

Years later, for Christmas 2023, we gave that original formula a berry twist — inspired by repeated requests to bring the signature Skin Juice berry scent into more products.

Berry Perfect Paws was meant to be a festive moment. Now, The Skin Juice Archive is giving it one more squeeze.
