It's one of the most common questions we see in eye health forums and a fair one to ask.

Dry eyes often start small: a bit of irritation after screen time, some redness by the end of the day.

Left unmanaged, that irritation doesn't tend to just go away on its own, it can become part of a repeating cycle, where each irritated day makes the next one a little harder to shake. Eventually, your work, your sleep, your life gets disrupted.

That's why "just pushing through it" often isn't the answer. The earlier the cycle is addressed, the easier it usually is to break. And in certain cases, it may require specialised treatment from eye health professionals.

If your eyes have felt dry, tired, or uncomfortable more days than not, it's worth getting your eyes properly assessed, not just managed with another bottle of drops.

You place a warm cloth over your eyes, close them for a few minutes…and hope the burning, grittiness and tired feeling will finally ease.

But does it actually work?

For many people, yes, especially when dry eyes are caused by tears evaporating too quickly.

Your tears are not made of water alone. They also need a thin layer of oil to stop them from drying out too quickly. That oil comes from tiny glands along your eyelids. When it becomes thick or the glands get blocked, your tears can evaporate faster—even if you keep using eye drops.

A warm compress helps soften those oils so they can flow more freely and protect your tears for longer.

Use a comfortably warm compress over closed eyes for around 10 minutes. If you use a face cloth, rewarm it as it cools.

Have you tried a warm compress before? Did it help—or did the relief disappear quickly? Tell us below. 👇

When you focus on a screen, you generally blink less often and may even fail to close your eyelids completely.

These “half blinks” can leave parts of the eye’s surface exposed, allowing the tear film to break up and evaporate more quickly - these are key steps that drive the Dry Eye Cycle.

Over time, this increases grittiness, burning or tired eyes—especially during long periods of concentrated screen work.

Here’s what you can do the next time your eyes feel dry or tired after looking at screens:
1. Close your eyelids fully
2. Give your eyelids a little bit of a squeeze for 5 seconds.
3. Then give it 3 slow, full blinks, with each lasting 5 seconds.

This helps with expression of the oils in your eyelid glands and to spread the tear film smoothly around the eye.

Does this blinking technique help your eyes? Comments below.

Lutein is important for macular health—but healthy vision depends on much more than one nutrient or one part of the eye.

That is why Nutravision does more than support the macula. It also designed for the broader vision system, with targeted nutritional support for the eye, nervous system, brain and circulation.

Losing focus may not always be a concentration problem.

If you often reread the same sentence, slow down halfway through a task or need longer to refocus, maybe it’s your eyes that need support and TLC.

Watch the full video to discover how tired, strained eyes can affect your day.

What do you notice first when your eyes become tired—blurred vision, slower focus or difficulty concentrating? Tell us in the comments.

For Janet, the difference showed up when she was out an about living her usual life.

Reading the words on her phone. Checking a price at the supermarket. Seeing small details without automatically squinting.

All the little things we take for granted when it comes to our vision.

Individual experiences can vary, but we are grateful to Janet for sharing hers so openly.

Most eye supplements focus on only one part of vision: the eye.

But your eyes do not work alone.

Clear, comfortable vision depends on a connected system: the eye, the nervous system, brain and circulatory pathways that help process what you see.

Because long-term eye health should not be built around one part of the vision system only.
