saturday spots are very limited with my beautiful adelaide brides, but I have much more flexibility on weekdays!! (perfect for formals, graduations, work do’s & awards nights)

My 5 months in Italy has come to an end and wow!! What a beautiful rollercoaster this journey has been.

My first ever destination bridal makeup was back in 2018, a couple from my tour group had an impromptu wedding at sunset in Santorini. That day planted a seed: one day I wanted to live an endless summer, making brides feel their very best everyday.

It took a few years (thanks Covid), an insane fire in my belly & a coaching call with MADELINE BAUCIA BRIDAL who i can’t thank enough for encouraging me to start last year, then trusting me with your bookings while on maternity leave.

On top of a full Adelaide season & a second job at Mecca, I researched everything - logistics, marketing, kit condensing, accommodation, car rental.. I was obsessed. Daily questions of “so how is that going to work?” with no answers yet. With amazing family & friends cheering me on, my season filled up fast.

& it moved fast - The South of France, Tuscany, Dolomites, 2 weeks in Greece for my bestie’s birthday, back to Tuscany, a quick Spain trip - and then it caught up with me, burnout hit hard in Lake Como.
A slower August, calls back home & my lovely brides brought me back to life. Bordeaux, Tuscany, finishing in Rome, at a slower, more thoughtful pace.

Popping into Florence for nails & steak dinner became the norm. Spoilt with pastas, gelato & sunrises with hot air balloons over the countryside.

I hired 8 cars & survived the chaotic Italian drivers on the narrowest roads livings off petrol station paninis post work.

Immersed in art and culture you can’t find at home, it made me so inspired to create. I found gratitude for things we take for granted in Aus. So many Europeans dreaming of Aus, while the Aussies dream of Europe.. the grass really is greener where you water it

It also gave me this sense of how insignificant I am in the world - I only have this one life, I can’t waste it. “The purpose of life is to experience,” and I experienced so much this season.

Proud of myself for setting goals and taking risks. Burnout sucked the life out of me, but it came from a place of passion. I’ll always prefer knowing I gave it my all, over living with the what ifs 🤍 see you next year

this season so far has been everything i hoped it would be and more. i’ve worked in châteaux, villas, castles and mountain hotels. i’ve driven through tuscany at sunrise and eaten pasta in places i never want to leave. making new friends and connecting with people from across the world.
