Creating a dedicated space for skin checks makes it easier for employees to step away for their screening, without needing to travel or organise another appointment outside of work.
From corporate workplaces to mining, FIFO and regional sites, onsite screening can be a simple part of a broader workplace wellness program.
Does your workplace offer skin cancer screening? Weâd love to hear about it below.

A new year is a good time to stop putting off the things that matter. đ©ș
That spot youâve been watching for months, the mole that looks a little different, or the area you keep meaning to have checked is worth paying attention to.
Skin cancer can develop without causing pain or obvious symptoms, so regular skin checks are an important part of staying on top of your skin health, especially with the high UV exposure we experience across Western Australia.
Make 2026 the year you stop wondering and get it properly assessed.
Have you got a spot youâve been meaning to check? Tell us below.

What youâre seeing here is an example of Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC). đ
SCC is a common type of skin cancer that develops in the outer layers of the skin and is strongly associated with cumulative UV exposure.
It can look different from one person to another. You may notice a scaly or crusted lump, a persistent red patch, a tender growth, or a sore that repeatedly bleeds, crusts or doesnât heal.
It is often found on areas that receive a lot of sun, including the face, ears, scalp, neck, arms, and hands. This is particularly relevant for people who spend a lot of time outdoors across Western Australia.
Many SCCs can be treated successfully when detected early, but some can grow deeper and become more difficult to treat.
If youâve noticed a spot that is changing, persistent or simply doesnât look right, donât ignore it. Have it properly assessed by a Skin Cancer Screening Practitioner.

Some teams are in Perth offices. Others are working in the Pilbara, on mine sites, around ports, or in regional and remote parts of WA.
Thatâs why we take skin cancer screening onsite. âïž

But the reason for the travel is much more important.
People living and working in regional and remote WA can face extra barriers when it comes to accessing regular skin checks. So, rather than waiting for everyone to travel to a clinic, Skin ChX brings professional skin cancer screening closer to where people live and work.
From the Pilbara and Kimberley to Esperance, the Wheatbelt, Great Southern and beyond, weâre here to make early detection more accessible.
