I look beyond the surface. Skin presentations are complex and influenced by a variety of internal and external factors. As a Dermal Clinician, my focus goes beyond treating what’s visible—I take a comprehensive approach to understand the bigger picture of your skin’s overall health. Ready to dive deeper? The first step is a consultation (link in bio)

A lot of little lesions can make a big difference.
This client had multiple benign seborrhoeic keratoses and other benign lesions treated across the back and torso — and these are the results once everything had healed.
What I love about treating areas like this is that it’s not necessarily one particular spot that bothers someone. Sometimes it’s the overall “busy” appearance of lots of little lesions together.
Once medically assessed and confirmed as benign, many of these lesions can be treated quite simply with laser.
Swipe through to see the result from a few different angles.
As always, every lesion is assessed individually and results vary from person to person.

The room is changing. The way I practise isn’t.
While I’ve been moving into the new clinic space, I’ve been reflecting on what this move really means. While the surroundings are changing, the foundation of my practice—and what you can expect from me when you walk through the door—remains exactly the same.
Here is what is coming with me into the new space:
Personalised, Reason-Driven Treatments Every treatment starts with a purpose. From diagnostic spot assessments to advanced benign lesion removals, every step is backed by thorough health evaluations, tissue optics, and clear medical reasoning—never arbitrary choices.
Safety & Barrier First Protecting your skin barrier, looking after long-term skin health, and supporting your natural healing process will always be non-negotiable. We don't do aggressive treatments that compromise the skin ecosystem for a quick surface fix.
Evidence-Based Modalities Our trusted tools—like Photobiomodulation (PBM) and targeted energy systems—continue to lead the way, working at a cellular level to support long-term skin health and biology.
Commitment to Continuous Learning Whether I’m presenting at conferences or running consultations, continuing my education and bringing degree-qualified dermal science directly to your treatment plan remains my core focus.
A new space allows me to elevate your clinical experience, but the high safety standards, core principles, and personal care stay untouched.
Turns out changing a door handle wasn’t quite as simple as I thought… thankfully I know a few tradies.

PBM is one of those treatments that can look very simple from the outside, but there’s some fascinating science happening at a cellular level.
By delivering precise, non-thermal light photons straight to your cells' mitochondria, specific wavelengths of light directly influence the biological processes involved in inflammation, tissue repair, and skin recovery. It essentially acts as a battery recharge for impaired tissue—shifting skin out of a state of chronic inflammation and into active repair.
In clinic, I utilise Photobiomodulation to:
Support wound & tissue healing: Accelerating recovery and promoting healthy tissue regeneration.
Help manage inflammation: Calming reactive skin, acne, rosacea, and compromised barriers.
Assist post-procedure recovery: Reducing downtime and resolving post-inflammatory redness following targeted clinical treatments.
Support long-term skin health: Rebuilding dermal density by stimulating native collagen synthesis.
PBM allows us to work with your skin’s natural biological pathways, not against them.

A lot happens before the laser is ever switched on.
Most of this is the stuff clients never see, but it’s an important part of creating a safe, compliant treatment environment in Queensland.

I knew there were a few things I needed to do before I could use my laser in the new room…
A little behind the scenes of getting the new Minyama room laser-ready.
Here she is before everything moves in 🤍
It’s still very much a blank canvas, but I’ll be turning this space into the new home of Carly Whytcross Laser.
