What nobody talks about in small business 🎙️
Running LBR isn’t just lash mapping and pretty carousels. Some weeks you’re fully booked and still lying awake wondering if it’s enough.
Growth isn’t linear, some months everything clicks, others feel like starting from scratch.
I’ve second guessed my prices, compared myself to other artists and had days where I’ve wanted to give up on the education side completely.
But then a student messages me months later saying something I taught them changed how they work. Or a client trusts me for five years straight. That’s the part that keeps me going.
Small business isn’t always glamorous. It’s exhausting, inconsistent and incredibly rewarding, sometimes all at once.

Okay, let’s talk about the other side of retention🖤
Sometimes the problem isn’t that you don’t know what you’re doing, it’s that you’ve stopped questioning what you’re doing.
Your glue might not be the problem. Your client might not be the problem. And constantly changing products probably isn’t the answer either.
Look at the bigger picture. It all matters. Good retention comes from understanding what’s happening, not guessing.
Stop changing everything. Start troubleshooting🖤

One thing I love about creating The Lash Index is that I’m not just uploading it and leaving it there. I’m constantly adding new lessons, resources and techniques as the industry evolves and as I continue learning and discovering new things myself.
