🥥🥥 Welcome to the 1st day of the July, which means that it is also time to check in with the girls!

Check your Coconuts serves as your monthly reminder to make sure you take 5-10 minutes out of your day to feel if there are any changes in your breasts from the month before! 👐🏼

🎀Breast Cancer is still the number 1 most diagnosed cancer amongst Women Worldwide with approximately 2.3 MILLION women being diagnosed each year!

In Australia alone it is predicted that 1 in every 7 women WILL be diagnosed with BC throughout their lifetime, with these numbers increasing every single year. 📈
Each day around 60 women are formally diagnosed with Breast Cancer and are unwillingly thrown into the hardest times of their lives.

I get it, it is so easy to skip past these campaigns and carry on with your day, but cancer isn’t something that you only want to deal with when it shows up in a mammogram or bloods because you are feeling off or tired!

One thing to remember is that the best treatment for Breast Cancer is EARLY DETECTION! 🫶🏼

We were lucky enough to be invited to Chris O'Brien Lifehouse in conjunction with Rare Cancers Australia Australia for the launch of - The Jemma Juckes Wellness Program. ❤️

Amazingly, this program has been able to capture everything that Jem would have selflessly provided to anyone that is currently facing the same, or similar struggles with rare cancers like hers.

‘The Jem Project’ has been designed to help people, and their families navigate their own cancer battle through -
Creating the “My Journey Wellness Journal”- a tailored self reflective journal that encourages positive check-in’s and affirmations throughout their journey,
“The Jemma Juckes Wellness Corner”- an online portal that is jam packed full of amazing information that encompasses a range resources that assist in the patient journey holistically for the mind and body both during and beyond their treatment (this is something that Jem was very passionate about),
as well as freshly refurbished space within the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, to create a comfortable and safe area to make those hours spent in hospital feel more homely and comfortable for patients, families and friends, as well as much needed funding for lifesaving treatment.
Most importantly, beyond the wellness journal, online portal and Jem’s corner, this program provides HOPE, a loving COMMUNITY and a SAFE SPACE for people facing the hardest time of their lives.

This program keeps Jem’s dream and legacy alive, and I know that Jem would be SO SO proud of everyone involved in the creation and launch of The Jemma Juckes Wellness Program.💜

✨Special mention to Jemma’s brother Todd Hibbert , sister Elise Pride , husband Lang and parents Brett and Lyn, in conjunction with Rare Cancers Australia and the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse for making this all happen. You have all played a major role in creating a more comfortable cancer journey for everyone that is fighting uncommon and rare cancers.
