Still pinching myself πŸ₯Ή

After two years I still cannot believe this has come to life. It means the world that the windphone is here to serve the community and that a little piece of my boy is forever part of this beautiful town 🐞

Yesterday was a big day full of lots of emotions...and there is still more to come. Thankyou to everyone that reached out with lovely messages of support and shared anything to do with this special project.

While yesterday was about the community, it was also another special day to celebrate Arch. It wouldn’t have happened without him and the sparkles he continues to sprinkle throughout the world. Thankyou to everyone that does any little thing to keep his memory alive...

You have no idea how much it means 🌈🫢🏽✨️☎️

Back in August 2024, during my second sit down meeting with the beautiful Sally Quinnell, I shared the story of 'My Wind Phone'. My heart was so touched by how it came about and the special message behind it. I thought it would be a beautiful addition to our little Camden town and Sally agreed with me.

On the 17th of December, I received a text from the lovely Philippa Percy asking me to contact her in regard to the proposed wind phone. Suffice to say there were alot of tears, flabbergasted moments and pure heart happiness.

During the meeting we had beautiful chats about locations, what kind of style I was thinking and, of course, the man of the hour...Archie 🐞

Camden Council put a team in place and my little dream started coming to life.

My family was invited to the laying of the concrete slab where we were able to scatter leaves onto the wet concrete. It was beautifuI πŸ‚ If you look closely you will find leaves that I laid in the shape of an "A" at the front of the slab 🫢🏽

In true Archie fashion, he made his presence know. Never one to take a back seat when there is a moment to be had. How did he do this on that particular day? Well, the lovely man that laid the concrete slab was, of course, named Archie πŸ₯Ή

Philippa asked if there was an extra special something we could add in for Arch. Perhaps a butterfly? I requested, if possible, a ladybeetle or a dragonfly. And the final touch was a dragonfly made by the wonderful Quinton's Creations.

Why a dragonfly? That is for Archie and all his little CASK and PCH warrior friends 🧑 The shape of the cerebellum in the brain of a child with PCH is the shape of dragonfly wings. A special bit of magic hangs in Camden for all the PCH warriors across the world 🌈

I honestly cannot believe this is a real tangible thing! I am so excited to see our windphone being used by our community. Tomorrow is the official launch and I hope that there will be lots of smiling faces there to share in the joy of bringing this beautiful and magical addition to our little town. Thankyou to everyone that made it happen.....
Sending Rainbows, always...Dee 🌈🧑🐞

Today, on International Bereaved Mothers Day, we take time to recognise all of the Mothers who do not have their child or children in their arms next Sunday 🌈

Next Sunday, I will wake up to celebrate Mothers Day. Two of my children will be there, excited to celebrate me. They are beautiful and want to make me feel special. There is just one problem. When I wake, I see two children. One is missing. Every day, one of my babies is missing. But, this day, "Mothers Day," all the focus is on me. A whole day about me. A whole day about being a Mum. A whole day that I am reminded that my Archie is not here.

Today I will allow myself a day to feel. I will allow myself the space and grace to be a "Bereaved Mummy," and I won't feel guilty about being sad.

Mummas, I hope that today you will take time for yourself and allow yourself to grieve. But I hope that between the pain, there will be some moments to reflect and smile. Whatever you are doing, please be gentle on yourself and remember that you have an amazing community around you that is here for you as a support and a bubble of love and understanding πŸ₯Ή

Sending you so many rainbows and an extra big virtual hug...Dee 🌈🐞🌻
