THE RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR MUM CAN RUN DEEPER THAN YOU REALISE.
I’m grateful to have a beautiful relationship with my mum, but I also know that our family stories can shape so much of who we become.
How we experience love, connection and belonging can influence how we see ourselves and what we believe we deserve.

But even when you know you’re in the right, you still have a choice: you can stay in your own energy.
You don’t have to carry someone else’s emotions, reactions or negativity.
You can love someone, care about them and still protect your peace.
Their energy is theirs.
Your energy is yours. 🤍
Come back to yourself. Ground. Breathe. Let go of what isn’t yours to carry.

We are made up of so many different versions of ourselves.
The mother/father
The wife/husband
The daughter/son
The friend.
The sister/brother
The businesswoman/man
The spiritual woman/man.
The woman or man who needs solitude.
The person who wants to go out, laugh, dance and have fun.
And every one of these parts of us needs to be nurtured.
Sometimes we pour everything into being a mother and forget the woman underneath.
Sometimes we give everything to our relationship and neglect our friendships.
Sometimes we become so focused on work that our spiritual self becomes quiet.
And sometimes we are so busy caring for everyone else that we forget to care for ourselves.
True balance requires us to consciously check in with each version of ourselves.
What needs attention?
What have I been neglecting?
What part of me is asking to be nourished?
Where am I giving too much?
Where am I giving too little?
Nourishing yourself isn’t selfish.
Going out with your friends can nourish you.
Time alone can nourish you.
Being present with your children can nourish you.
Connecting with your partner can nourish you.
Spending time with family can nourish you.
Your spiritual practice can nourish you.
You don’t have to choose between the different versions of yourself.
You are ALL of them.
And when you take the time to nurture each part of who you are, you create something much deeper than a busy life…
You create a balanced one. 🤍
The question is:
✨ Which version of YOU needs a little more love right now?
What if you already know the answer?
Sometimes your intuition tells you exactly what you need to know…
but then comes the voice of your parent.
Your partner.
Your friends.
Their fears. Their opinions. Their expectations.
And slowly, you start questioning the thing you knew deep down was true.
You don’t need everyone else to agree with your intuition.
You need to trust yourself enough to listen to it.
Because sometimes finding your truth means getting quiet enough to hear it beneath everyone else’s. ✨

I’m heading to Egypt in March/April next year for a very special spiritual journey — and I already have a few beautiful souls joining me. 🤍
