For nine years I genuinely wondered if I’d ever be able to do this full-time 🥲
I was booking about 15-20 of my own weddings a year and working a part-time job on the side. Then I started running some ads, beforrrrre I was even really giving social media a good whirl.
Last financial year (I only started using ads last September!): 40 weddings, and I finally left my part-time job.
This financial year: 60 booked and counting.

MERIT really nailed it with this one - it needs good skin prep and probably not the top choice for my super oily girlies but it is super lightweight, buildable and has a beautiful, natural finish 🫶🏼
Helloooo Haus Labs - stunning, buildable, decent amount of coverage straight off the bat but NOT heavy looking - skin-like finish. Chef’s kiss 👌🏼💋
A staple in most MUAs kits M·A·C Cosmetics Australia & NZ Market - super lightweight, best warmed up on the skin first or applied with hands - perfect for shoots, runway and of course all my natural girlies ✨
Estée Lauder Australia & NZ Markets original Double Wear formula (I stocked up before the switch and haven’t tried the new formula) - this is not someone I use SUPER often because generally my clients want a more lightweight foundation however this mixes really well with other foundations/tints and the longevity canNOT be beat 👏🏼
Aaand finally the one that always surprises people - M·A·C Cosmetics Australia & NZ Market Studio Fix Fluid (the “matte” version, not “radiance”). This foundation has a rep for being more full coverage and matte but I would argue that this is not the case at all. It is a buildable, medium coverage at most, and has a natural satin finish - it mixes extremely well with tints and other foundations, is incredibly versatile and is a foundation I come back to time and time again! My most used combo is a mix of this & the MECCA MAX skin tint 🙌🏼 heaven.
