A sh*t ton of foils seemed like an appropriate time for a tiny scheduling announcementš
Iām officially fully booked for large foil appointments for the rest of this year.
However, my waitlist is always open if youāre hoping to sneak in, and appointments for the new year are already filling with my regular babes.
Apparently Christmas chaos as a hairdresser has officially begun ā¤ļøāš„
Merchant fees have always been part of our business expenses, and thatās exactly where theyāll stay.
Would I rather spend that money on something more exciting? Absolutely.
But client convenience wins this one.

Iām sick of seeing traditional foils with a root shadow slapped over the top and called lived in colour š
There. I said it.
Swipe for my unsolicited opinion on lived in colourš
A truly lived in colour should be planned around how that hair is going to grow out and actually live with the person wearing it.
Iām thinking about where I place light, where I leave natural depth and what that colour is going to look like months from now, not just how seamless I can make it look on the day.
If six to eight weeks later you have an obvious regrowth line telling you itās time to get your colour done again, thatās not lived in colour to me.
A root shadow can absolutely be part of the process. But it shouldnāt be doing all the heavy lifting.
The grow out isnāt an afterthought. Itās part of the colour plan x

Iām gonna hold your hand when I say thisā¦
Regrowth lines and enhancing your natural colour are not the same thing.
Thatās the mindset shift.
A regrowth line happens because youāve coloured your hair to be something completely different to what naturally grows out of your head. Of course youāre going to hate that. But a well executed lived in colour is designed so your natural colour is part of the look from day one.

Sheās only five, but a couple of weeks ago she did something that a lot of adults wouldnāt have the courage to do.
She donated her beautiful hair to help create wigs for people experiencing medically induced hair loss and, alongside her family, raised money for this yearās Good Friday Appeal.
Itās pretty special watching someone so little have such a big heart.

Originally, we thought we might go for a short, solid bob.
But the more we talked, the more it felt wrong.
She had this cool energy to her. Great style, personality, a vibe that called for texture.
Straight lines felt too structured. With a full fringe, I didnāt want her to feel like she was wearing her hair.
So we pivoted.
Less weight. Less structure. More movement. More edge.
Sometimes great hair isnāt giving people what they ask for. Itās understanding who they are and creating something that feels more like them.
