Acne can be such an emotional roller coaster. Sometimes it feels like you take two steps forward and three steps back.

One of the biggest things she did was trust us. She wasn’t coming in saying, “I saw this on TikTok” or “I’ve seen this treatment trending and I want to try it.” She let us look at her skin at every stage, see what it needed at that point in time and change the plan as her skin changed.

And she was consistent. With her home care, her O Cosmedics LED and her treatments.

We’ve done needling, peels, Laser Genesis and more recently Pico. Although if you ask her, skin needling is definitely her favourite 😂

Now that we’ve cleared so much of the active acne, we can shift our focus to the scarring, including those deeper ice-pick scars.

Acne isn’t always a straight road. There are times when something is outside our scope and we’ll refer on, but with her skin, we knew we could help.

I’m so happy with how far her skin has come and the work Vanessa has done with her. And we’re not finished yet. 🤍

The results are in and these progress photos are too good not to share.

After just 2 Pico Melasma sessions we’re already seeing such a beautiful reduction in her pigmentation, but it’s everything else I’m noticing too.

Look around her eyes, her mouth and just the overall clarity and quality of her skin.

Melasma can be tricky to treat because it isn’t the same as your typical sun damage. Heat and inflammation can actually aggravate it, which is why we need to be really considered with what we use.

This is why we choose Pico for this type of pigment. The ultra short pulses target and break up the pigment with much less heat being delivered into the surrounding skin.

So while we’re working on the melasma, we’re also getting this beautiful overall skin revitalisation.

And this is only 2 treatments in. I’m very excited to see where we get with this skin.

Tonight we celebrate 10 years of In2skin. 🤍

I started In2skin in 2016 in a small little room above a hair salon, with no idea what the next 10 years would look like.

I’ll always have so much gratitude for Brittney Payne & Rachel Pine Midges The Salon who gave me that space. They believed in me, supported me and gave me somewhere to start. I don’t think you ever forget the people who backed you right at the beginning, and I’ll always be grateful they were part of mine.

Since then, we’ve moved, grown, changed and evolved more times than I probably ever expected. There have been incredible highs, some really hard moments, plenty of mistakes and a whole lot of learning along the way.

And now, 10 years later, I look at where In2skin started and where we are today, and I’m really bloody proud of what we’ve built.

Tonight I get to celebrate that with some of the people who have been part of this journey, which feels pretty special.

To every client who has walked through our doors, every team member who has been part of our story, and my family and friends who have backed me along the way — thank you. You’ve all played a part in getting In2skin here.
