Kenya must reject the dangerous politics of tribal division being propagated by impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. At a time when millions of Kenyans are struggling with the high cost of living, unemployment, and the need for national unity, it is deeply irresponsible for any leader to incite communities against one another for political survival.

Our nation was built on the spirit of togetherness, not tribal supremacy. We cannot allow retrogressive narratives that reopen old wounds and threaten the peace and cohesion that Kenyans have worked hard to preserve since the dark days of post-election violence.

Leadership must unite people around ideas, development, accountability, and service delivery — not ethnicity, fear, and political victimhood. No community in Kenya is superior to another, and no Kenyan should feel excluded because of their tribe.

The future of Kenya belongs to leaders who inspire unity, inclusivity, and national progress. We therefore strongly condemn any attempts to polarize the country along tribal lines and call upon all leaders to exercise restraint, responsibility, and patriotism in their public utterances.

Kenya is stronger when united.
