Rohingya Rights Watch (RRW) today releases Arakan Base Monthly Special Report: "Escalating Atrocities and Institutionalized Persecution in Arakan (Rakhine) State."
The report documents allegations of serious human rights abuses against Rohingya civilians during May 2026, including unlawful , detention, recruitment of children, labor, confiscation, and economic practices amid the ongoing conflict in (Arakan) State.
The findings raise urgent concerns regarding the protection of civilians and accountability for alleged violations of international human rights and humanitarian law.
RRW calls on the international community, the United Nations, ASEAN, and all parties to the conflict to take immediate steps to protect civilians, ensure humanitarian access, and support independent investigations into reported abuses.

URGENT APPEAL: FOOD DEPRIVATION AMONG HINDU ROHINGYA REFUGEES
Rohingya Rights Watch (RRW) is deeply concerned over the severe crisis faced by who arrived in in 2024. Many families are reportedly excluded from official food assistance lists, leaving them without regular access to essential humanitarian support.
Women, children, and elderly refugees are among the most affected, struggling daily with hunger and extreme hardship.
RRW urgently calls on authorities, UNHCR in Bangladesh , World Food Programme and all humanitarian stakeholders to ensure immediate inclusion of all vulnerable refugees in food assistance programs without discrimination.

Rohingya Mother Allegedly Killed in Camp, Cox's Bazar
A mother of two, Azida Begum, was allegedly beaten to death and hanged by her husband in Kutupalong Lambashia, 1 East.
Most tragically, their elder son reportedly witnessed the horrifying incident.
The tragedy has left two innocent children without their mother and raised serious concerns over violence inside the refugee camps.
May Allah grant her Jannatul Ferdous.

Following the suspension of cash assistance and the sharp reduction of support, many Rohingya families are struggling to survive without food, healthcare, or the legal right to work.

NEW: Two years after the Arakan Army, an ethnic armed group, killed and wounded hundreds of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar’s Rakhine State and burned down their village, the survivors are still denied justice and cannot return to their homes.
The Myanmar military and Arakan Army should immediately end attacks on civilians, release anyone unlawfully detained, and provide redress to victims and their families.
