The main accused in the murder of Osman Hadi (full name: Shaheed Sharif Osman Bin Hadi), Faisal Karim Masud (alias Rahul, age 37, Patuakhali) and his accomplice Alamgir Hossain (age 34, Dhaka) have been arrested in India. The place of arrest is the Bangaon area of ​​West Bengal, India (bordering Bangladesh). Time of arrest: March 7 (Saturday) 2026 at midnight (midnight).
The Special Task Force (STF) of the West Bengal State Police of India conducted a raid based on secret information and arrested them.
After the murder, they left the country illegally and entered India through the Meghalaya border and were hiding in various places.
During initial interrogation, they confessed that they were involved in multiple crimes including extortion and murder in Bangladesh.
After the arrest, the Indian police said in a statement that there are multiple cases against them in Bangladesh. Now the process of bringing them back to Bangladesh through an extradition agreement can be underway.
