The flat iron isn't the last step — here's what a plant-tannin smoothing needs after it.
Step A clarifies and Step B lays down the tannin; the iron sets the new alignment, worked without formaldehyde or glyoxylic acid. But the smoothing leaves the lengths more alkaline and more porous, so the service isn't finished. Step F goes on the ironed hair to rebalance the pH, then Step D replenishes the moisture the process draws out. That's the detox-and-reconstruction finish: the smoothing holds, and the lengths comb through instead of catching. Result holds 3 to 5 months, depending on aftercare.
