Week 1

SEXY (with a Halloween twist)

I went with a dark sultry look with a smokey red eye and deep burgundy lip. The Halloween element is the gem studded abstract half skull. Simple but gets the job done

On Friday I had the privilege of doing old age makeup for the Bahamas Harvest Church. It was so good to stretch my theater legs again and be back in my element

To kick of my Halloween looks, I've decided to take a walk down memory lane and recreate one of my old looks mainly to see if I've made progress in my makeup and special fx journey and boy the glow up is insane.

Very late post but better late than never! Over the US Independence weekend I decided to lean more into my special fx to create Americas national bird, the bald eagle. The costuming with the denim jacket, American flag t-shirt, shades and the bud light (not sponsored lol). Really tied the 'MERICA' into this look Lol. HAPPY 250TH AMERICA from your neighbour The Bahamas.

Bahamas Carnival is almost here so I decided to try my hand at some Carnival makeup.

For mermay, I wanted to take a different appearance to the mermaid and decided to create what would be considered a "lore accurate" merman. Depending on which myth you read, mermen are more hideous looking in comparison to their female counterpart. So I deviated from what you would normally see during MerMay, elegance, ethereal, beauty, to a nightmarish creature of the deep lol. This look also gave me the chance to brush up on my Photoshop skills, can't be a merman with out a tail and the environment lol. Prosthetic piece was made using

I had this baby yoda look in my archive for a hot minute. Perfect time to bring it out.

Soft Glam is a step up from Fresh face. With this look the brows are more defined, the eyes now have a pop colour which is usually that of soft colours such as earth tones and/or pastel colours. Bronzer is still used as both to warm and contour, but there is a little more highlight than that of fresh face, setting powder is also used as a brightner for those areas, there is a bit more blush and tinted gloss. Natural lash strips could be used for this look but the model already had long lushes lashes. I used a luminizing foundation for this look i think the dewy-ness adds to the softness of this look. A perfect look for date night! #
