We were happy to welcome representatives from the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE), UNIDO - United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the Investment Policy and Compliance Unit, and the Office of the Prime Minister to Riversdale Seamoss as discussions continue on Belize’s Industrial Strategy with Green and Blue Industrial Policies.

A meaningful moment not only for , but for everyone working towards the growth of the sea moss industry, to see that the Government of Belize recognizes the potential this industry can bring to Belize. A new industry that could provide employment opportunities, support sustainable livelihoods, reduce fishing pressure, and strengthen Belize’s blue economy.

Together we can make this happen 👏

Belize is looking beyond tourism and traditional agriculture as the government begins work on the country’s first industrial strategy focused on “green” and “blue” industries.
