As a clinic that supports babies through milestones, movement classes make so much sense to us.

Classes give babies space to explore, build strength, and learn through their bodies in a really natural way.

When babies are reaching, rolling, pushing, pivoting, rocking, balancing, crawling, and exploring new positions, they’re working on so much more than we can always see from the outside. They’re building:

✨ Rolling foundations
✨ Crawling prep
✨ Core strength
✨ Balance and coordination
✨ Body awareness
✨ Confidence in movement
✨ Sensory exploration
✨ Strength through their shoulders, hips, hands, and feet
✨ Connection between the right and left sides of the body

And for moms, classes like this can offer something just as important:

A reason to get out of the house and connect with other moms.
A chance to ask questions.
A place to notice what your baby is working on.
A reminder that development doesn’t have to be rushed, forced, or compared.

We love helping families better understand infant development, movement, milestones, and body function because babies are learning through every wiggle, reach, roll, and attempt.

And we’re so grateful to have Little Moverz bringing these kinds of supportive, development-focused sessions to our community.

Have you tried a Little Moverz class before? We’d love to hear what you and your little one loved most.

We built this clinic around flexibility because motherhood isn’t black and white.

It never has been.

There is no single timeline for returning to work.
No perfect way to balance being a mother and a practitioner.
No universal version of “ready.”
No one-size-fits-all rhythm that works for every woman, every baby, every family, or every season of life.

We know this because we are not just caring for mothers. Many of us are mothers.

We know what it feels like to love your work and also need space to feed your baby.

To want to return, but not exactly the way you left.
To feel your identity shifting and expanding.
To need a schedule that changes when your family changes.

And we believe women deserve spaces that make room for that.

Spaces that say:

You can grow into this next version of yourself slowly.
You can ask for what you need.
You can be both deeply committed to your work and deeply devoted to your family.
You can change your mind as your season changes.

That philosophy shapes the way we support our team, and it shapes the way we support the women and families who walk through our doors.

Proactive women’s healthcare isn’t just about treatments. It’s about creating a community where women feel seen, trusted, supported, and allowed to be human.

We want more spaces to feel like this, and if you do too, drop a 🤍 in the comments and share this post.

As a clinic full of moms, these are the summer baby essentials we actually reach for.

Summer with a baby can go from “this is so sweet” to “everyone is hot, sticky, hungry, and overstimulated” very quickly.

A few things we love to keep in mind before heading out:

☀️ A portable stroller fan for hot walks or stroller naps
☀️ Shade whenever possible, especially for younger babies
☀️ More frequent feeds on hot days if baby is breastfed or bottle-fed
☀️ Water for older babies and toddlers who are already drinking it
☀️ Lightweight, breathable layers
☀️ Breathable babywearing options if you’re carrying baby in the heat
☀️ Supportive footwear for little ones who are walking
☀️ Extra flexibility, because heat can make everyone a little less regulated

When it comes to navigating summer with littles the best hack is a lot simpler than you might think.

👉🏼 Move a little slower, plan a little differently, and give yourself permission to change the plan when the day asks for it.

That might mean leaving earlier.
Finding shade instead of staying in full sun.
Offering another feed.
Skipping the outing altogether.
Or saying, “This is enough for today.”

Have a summer baby question you want our take on? Let us know in the comments.

Whether you’re wondering about our favourite products, babywearing in the heat, stroller fans, supportive shoes, sun safety, or little hacks that make getting out the door easier, we’re happy to share what we love and recommend.

One thing we remind pregnant mamas about every summer.

Don’t spent the entire season reclined in a patio chair.

We get it.

You’re growing a human.
It’s hot.
You’re tired.
And sitting back with your feet up feels so good.

Please hear us: this is not about making you feel guilty for resting.

But if you’re in your third trimester, spending long stretches of time reclined can sometimes influence the space baby has to move and settle.

This is why we encourage pregnant mamas to switch up their positions throughout the day, especially later in pregnancy. This might look like:

✨ Sitting more upright when you can
✨ Taking short walks
✨ Spending time forward-leaning
✨ Changing positions often
✨ Supporting your pelvis, hips, and low back
✨ Exploring acupuncture if baby is breech or not quite in the position you were hoping for.

Doing so creates more space in your body and gives baby more opportunity to find a position that supports birth.

This is also where things prenatal chiropractic care, acupuncture, and pelvic floor physiotherapy can be really supportive, especially as your body prepares for labour and delivery. If you’d like to explore any of these options we’re just a DM away.

If you’re pregnant and spending half the summer reclined in a patio chair, this one’s for you.

First of all, we get it.

Movement is how babies learn about their bodies and the world around them.

Before they can tell us what they need, babies are taking in information through every reach, roll, wiggle, push, kick, and attempt to move toward something that caught their attention.

Those little movements are doing a lot more than building strength.

They’re helping babies build body awareness, confidence, coordination, balance, and connection.

That’s one of the reasons so many CHC families love Little Moverz

Julie has created such a thoughtful space for babies to explore movement in a way that feels playful, supportive, and developmentally meaningful, and we loved getting to chat with her about why she started it.

Have you taken a Little Moverz class before? Tell us what you and your little one loved most.

We’re looking for someone special to join our front desk team at Crescent Health Collective.

This is a part-time admin/front desk support role for someone who understands that a clinic like ours is about so much more than answering phones and booking appointments.

Our front desk team is often the first point of contact for women and families who are looking for support through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, infant care, pelvic health, mental health, feeding, recovery, and everything in between.

Sometimes that means helping a new mom find the right practitioner.
Sometimes it means making someone feel less overwhelmed when they aren’t sure where to start.
Sometimes it means being the calm, kind voice on the other end of the phone when someone is reaching out for care during a really vulnerable season.

We would love to connect with someone who is organized, warm, dependable, community-minded, and genuinely values women’s health.

We’re also very open to hearing from moms who are looking to return to work in a part-time capacity.

We know how much life shifts in motherhood, and we believe there should be room for women to contribute, grow, and work in a way that still honours their family life.

If this sounds like you, or someone you know, please send us a DM.

And if someone came to mind while reading this, please share this post with them.

Your first baby teaches you what no book, class, or Instagram post ever could.

Because there are some things you only learn by living them.

Maybe with your first baby, you were told breastfeeding was fine because it didn’t hurt, so you didn’t think much more about oral function.

Then a year or two later, you started noticing mouth breathing, sleep challenges, or open-mouth posture and wondered if there was more to the story.

Maybe with your first baby, you waited to ask about crawling because everyone said, “They’ll figure it out.”

Then with your next baby, you noticed movement patterns earlier and wanted to understand what was happening before you felt like you were playing catch-up.

Maybe your first pregnancy, birth, postpartum, feeding experience, sleep experience, or recovery taught you something you couldn’t have known until you were in it.

So many moms carry guilt for the things they didn’t know, didn’t ask, didn’t question, or didn’t do sooner. But the first time, you were surviving something brand new and trying to make the best decisions with the information you had at the time.

And that’s why we meet so many moms who approach things differently with their second baby. Experience gave them information they didn’t have before.

What’s one thing you learned with your first baby that you did differently with your second? Let us know in the comments.
