Doing your best friend’s brows is a different kind of pressure 😂

Dani had previously had her brows microbladed, and unfortunately, they were way too dark and completely outside of her natural brow shape. She kept going back to the artist hoping they could fix them, but instead, they just kept adding more colour — making them darker and darker…

And this is something I really want people to understand:

You cannot fix brows that are already too dark by continuing to put more pigment in them! At that point, the only way to lighten them is removal.

In Dani’s case, she ended up spending nearly $1,000 on multiple removal sessions after already paying for the original work and the additional touch-ups. She was the one who paid the price in the long run.

I really don’t believe it was ethical to keep adding colour to brows that are already too dark… ANYWAY. 😅

After 4+ removal sessions, we finally got to a place where I felt comfortable reworking them — and this time, we did things very differently.

Dani has a very different hair growth pattern in each brow, and I actually LOVE that we were able to work with it instead of trying to make her brows identical.

Because natural-looking nano brows aren’t about copy + pasting the exact same hair pattern onto both sides…They should flow with the hair that’s actually there!

Could you make two brows look almost identical on day one? Sure. But when those strokes heal, if they don’t make sense with the direction and growth pattern of the natural brow, they can start to look… well, not so natural.

And I am ALL about the healed results. 🙌🏼

So this was less about making Dani’s brows “perfect” and more about understanding her natural growth, working with it, and creating something that actually belongs on her face.

And THAT is my favourite part of nano brows. 🤍

Not all powder brows are created equal. 🤍

A skilled artist knows that powder brows aren’t about making the entire brow one solid block of colour; it’s about using gradient to create dimension!

We build the most density where hair naturally tends to be, then gradually spread those tiny pixels of colour toward the fronts and tops of the brows. That gradient allows the colour to melt seamlessly into the skin as it heals — creating a brow that looks soft & natural, yet with a noticeable improvement in shape.

… It still feels a little surreal to say that.

Going into Wulop Canada 🇨🇦 PMU CHAMPIONSHIP AND CONFERENCE , I made one promise to myself: do my best work, stay present, and trust that everything else would unfold exactly as it was meant to.

I knew I had prepared for this, I knew what I was capable of, and I knew I didn’t need to control the outcome — I just needed to show up and do the work.

There was also a little extra ✨magic✨ in the timing… 🃏

I’ve been quietly learning about Cardology, and my card for competition day was the King of Spades — a card of self-mastery, discipline, composure, authority, and leadership.

I didn’t take it as a prediction. I took it as a reminder:

Trust yourself. Master your craft. Rise to the occasion.

And then… I came second. 🤍

The artist who placed first is incredibly talented and absolutely earned her win. She won two categories that night, but can only compete in one during finals… she chose to move forward in Shaded Eyeliner — which means that I now get to represent Canada in Lipstick Tattoo at the World Finals.

And honestly?

I’m ready.

I know the work I’m capable of. I know how hard I’ve worked to get here. And I know this opportunity is mine to step into.

To everyone who made WULOP Canada possible, to my incredible model, and to everyone who supported me along the way — thank you.

Now it’s time to take it to the world stage.

Oh? And that King of Spades day… It was just a little preview of what’s to come… Because tomorrow is my birthday, and I’m stepping in a whole YEAR where the King of Spades is my long range, most influential card.
