Pride & Prejudice Inspired Styled Shoot | Part One 🕊️

Vintage romance meets modern elegance.

When we were given the vision of creating something vintage, timeless, yet modern, we wanted to bring an intentional approach to every detail while still embracing the softness and romance of the Pride & Prejudice era.

We wanted to create a look that felt natural, delicate, and effortlessly romantic, while complementing the beautiful gown and intricate lace headpiece handcrafted by Blair Nadeau Bridal | Canadian Made Wedding Veils & Accessories

For the hair, I wanted to create something soft and timeless, with intentional styling that would allow the delicate pearl details to drape beautifully at the front. Every placement was considered to complement our model’s features, the headpiece, and the overall aesthetic without taking away from the beauty of each element.

For makeup, Stella Ng | TORONTO MAKEUP ARTIST , one of our talented artists at Nguyen Artistry, focused on enhancing our model’s natural features with a beautifully defined, bold liner paired with minimal eyeshadow and a soft, radiant complexion.

The result? A romantic, ethereal interpretation of vintage beauty with a modern bridal touch.

Because timeless beauty doesn’t have to feel traditional. It can be soft, expressive, and effortlessly modern.

Natural bridal makeup with a subtle boost of blush 💄✨

I am absolutely in love with how everything came together for my bride’s wedding day, and even more importantly, we took notes from her trial and made adjustments based on what we learned.

Here’s something I always remind my brides:

If you want your makeup to look natural on camera, you have to be prepared to wear just a little more than you may be used to in everyday life.

Everyday makeup is NOT the same as bridal makeup.

Bridal makeup is about finding that balance where you still look and feel like yourself in person, while making sure your features don’t disappear once professional photography, lighting, and videography come into play.

And when I hear, “I don’t want my makeup to look cakey,” I completely understand but achieving that beautiful, skin-like finish actually starts long before you sit in my chair.

✨ A consistent skincare routine
✨ Proper skin prep
✨ Understanding what products and techniques work for your skin
✨ Using your trial to figure out what you love and what you want to tweak

Your trial is exactly that: a trial.

You might realize you want a little more blush. You might want to soften the eyes. You might discover that something you pictured looking amazing on you doesn’t feel quite right once you actually see it on yourself.

That’s completely normal.

The goal isn’t to recreate your trial down to the last detail. The goal is to use what we learned from it to make your wedding day look even better.

And if your skin wasn’t quite where you wanted it to be at your trial? That gives us time to work on it before the wedding.

Great bridal makeup isn’t about piling on more product.

It’s about preparation, intentional placement, the right amount of coverage, and knowing what translates beautifully both in person and on camera 📸
