Don't just collect brochures.
If you're coming to the Barrie - Simcoe County .ca at the Nottawasaga Inn this fall, we'd love to help you make the most of your day.
After exhibiting at the show for four years, we've learned that the brochures usually aren't what couples remember.
It's the conversations.
In our newest blog, we're sharing practical tips on:
📍 Preparing before you arrive
📍 Questions worth asking every photographer
📍 What to look for beyond Instagram
📍 Why albums and professional prints are worth seeing in person
📍 A few simple things that'll make your day much easier
Whether you visit our booth or not, we hope it helps you leave the show with a little more clarity and a lot fewer unanswered questions.

Some love stories begin with one big moment.
Katelynn and Brandon's was built through hundreds of little ones.
A conversation after class. Messages that turned into late-night texts. Becoming parents. Buying their first home. Growing into the life they have today.
Ten years later, they're planning their wedding.
We spent the evening wandering along the Wye River, talking about where they've been and everything that's still to come. It was relaxed, full of laughter, and exactly the kind of session we hope every couple gets to experience.
We're looking forward to doing it all again in 2027. 🤍

One of the things we love most about this job is that we get to experience wedding venues the way our couples do.
Not during an open house.
Not on a tour.
On real wedding days.
After photographing multiple weddings at Nottawasaga Inn Resort, we've started to notice the little things that don't always make it onto a venue's website.
We've never needed to leave the property for portraits. We've photographed weddings here in both the spring and summer, worked in different getting-ready suites, photographed indoor ceremonies and receptions, and every wedding has felt completely different while staying in the same place.
What really stays with us, though, is the atmosphere.
The wedding team is wonderful to work alongside, the day never feels rushed and our couples get to spend more time with the people they've invited to celebrate rather than travelling between locations.
Those are the things that matter long after the wedding day is over.
If you're planning a wedding at Nottawasaga Inn Resort we've just shared a new venue guide on the blog with everything we've learned from photographing weddings there.

A year later, Bruce and I noticed the same thing we always do.
About ten minutes into the session, we looked at each other because we hadn't had to say much.
That's one of our favourite things about photographing couples more than once.
Engagement sessions are where we get to know each other. By the wedding day there's trust. By the first anniversary, it doesn't feel like we're meeting clients anymore. It feels like we're catching up with friends we've had the privilege of photographing through one of the biggest milestones of their lives.
Jason and Sandra brought one of their favourite wedding photographs back to the park where they were married. We recreated it, complete with Sandra's veil, shared a few laughs remembering the original moment and then let the evening take on a life of its own.
The rest of the session wasn't about recreating the wedding day.
It was about celebrating everything that had happened since.
Happy First Anniversary, Jason & Sandra. Thank you for inviting us back to photograph another chapter of your story.

One of our favourite things about engagement sessions is that no two afternoons ever feel the same.
Brooke and Alec made this one incredibly easy.
We explored some beautiful spots around Collingwood, chatted as we walked from one location to the next, and spent more time laughing than posing. By the end of the session, it honestly felt like we'd known them for years.
Those are the connections we love building before a wedding day.
We can't wait to photograph the next chapter of their story this fall.

What happens after you submit a wedding photography inquiry?
Will someone respond right away? Will you finally see pricing? Do you need to have your entire wedding day planned before scheduling a consultation?
Our newest blog answers those questions and walks couples through the experience of reaching out to That Photographer Couple.
We explain what you will receive after submitting your inquiry, what happens during a complimentary connection call and what officially reserves your wedding date.
Most importantly, there is no expectation that you make an immediate decision. The first conversation is simply an opportunity to ask questions, understand how we work and decide whether we feel like the right fit for your wedding.

Some weddings are beautiful.
Some weddings stay with you because of how they felt.
Nicole and Dimitri's Elora Mill wedding was one of those days - the vibe was full of beauty and love.
Their story began when they were fifteen years old. After years apart, they found each other again and built a life that led to this moment.
From the first look to the final portraits, there was an unmistakable calm between them.
Dimitri wears his heart on his sleeve, and every emotion was written across his face. Nicole's smile said everything she didn't need words for.
The ceremony was filled with laughter, happy tears, and so many genuine moments shared with family and friends.
Behind the scenes, Stephanie and the Complete Weddings & Events Toronto team kept everything running so smoothly that Nicole and Dimitri could simply live every moment together.
Those are the weddings we love documenting.
Not because they're perfect.
Because they're real.
Congratulations, Nicole & Dimitri. We couldn't be happier for you both.

Some love stories take a little detour before finding their way home.
Nicole and Dimitri first met at just 15 years old, dated through high school, travelled Europe together, and then life took them in different directions. After a couple of years apart, they found their way back to each other—and this spring, they finally said "I do" at the beautiful Elora Mill. ❤️
From an emotional first look to heartfelt vows inside the chapel overlooking the gorge, every part of their day felt relaxed, genuine, and full of joy. It was one of those weddings where you could feel just how much these two are loved.
Elora Mill continues to be one of our favourite Ontario wedding venues. The historic stone architecture, breathtaking views of the Grand River, and seamless flow from getting ready through to the reception make it an incredible place to celebrate a wedding.
We've shared some of our favourite moments from Nicole & Dimitri's day, along with a few planning tips for couples getting married there.

Congratulations again, Nicole & Dimitri. Thank you for trusting us to tell your story. 🤍
