Barb's Garden

I hope this boy is a good defender for my girls.
He sure is confident!
My other young boy is very gentle, great rooster, but not built to be a guardian.
Here’s hoping everyone gets along 💕

With fall upon us, and the fading of daylight, our girls are winding down for winter rest.
Thank you to all our wonderful customers for sticking with us through a hard year. We appreciate you all!

Our eggs production will start reducing and will slowly wither down to almost nothing, but these hard working girls deserve a break.

If you would still like some eggs, and don't mind waiting, send us a message and we'll let you know what we have available 💕

Got some new chickens this week! Look at these beautiful eggs fresh from the coop!

We had a horrible incident several weeks ago and lost 16 of our girls to a weasel 😢😞 Large lessons learned! 💔
This passed week we added 10 new girls to the flock to try and regain some of our egg production. These girls are a different breed then we have had before and already doing wonderfully.
In the spring we will be adding some more fresh faces to the chicken run so we can serve you better.

NOTE: this my dogs dinner...BUT look at the color of the yoke! Same chickens, just upgraded the feed.
I highly, highly recommend on Highway 6 here in Caledonia. Everything is non-GMO and grown fresh, with passion and care right here in our neighborhood!

Some delicious juice for lunch today!
Great recipe from my friend Jill ❤️

This is the busiest but most rewarding time of the year for us. I love seeing the bounty from all the work we put in through the growing season.
One of my favorite way to preserve some of that beautiful goodness is the dehydrator.
What are you harvesting this year?
Show us the goodies in the comments!
