๐งก WHY I ADD AN ORANGE MODIFIER TO SOME DARKER SKIN TONES
You may notice that I sometimes add an orange modifier to my pigment when working on darker skin tones โ but itโs not simply because the skin is darker.
Skin tone and undertone are two different things. Your clientโs undertone plays a major role in how pigment will heal.
For some darker skin tones, especially when the skin has a cool, ashy, or olive undertone, a cool brown pigment can heal looking grey, ashy, or too cool.
๐งก This is where an orange modifier comes in.
Orange adds warmth to the pigment formula and helps balance unwanted coolness, allowing me to create a richer, more natural-looking healed brown.
The goal is NOT to make the brows orange. The goal is to customize the pigment formula to the clientโs skin so we can achieve the most beautiful healed result possible.
โจ Color theory matters. Your pigment formula should be customizedโnot one-size-fits-all.
Before the shading begins, the outline sets the foundation for your Ombrรฉ Brows. ๐ค
I carefully design the shape to complement your natural features, facial structure, and existing brow hair while creating balance and symmetry. This outline guides the entire procedure so the shading can be placed intentionallyโnot just drawn on.
โจ And the best part? The brows soften as they heal.
Freshly implanted pigment will initially appear darker and more defined. As the skin heals, the color gradually settles, softens, and blends into the skin, creating that beautiful, soft powdered Ombrรฉ effect.
