Cream & Sugar Soap Works

What started as a suggestion by my husband has turned into a hobby, which has been slowly transforming into a home-based retreat from the chaos swirling around us lately. I have always had a simple, low maintenance beauty regime because I have sensitive skin and find that commercial skin care products tend to affect my skin adversely. When the downturn in the economy affected my job I was without something to do and most everyone knows that I am a "have to be busy" kind of girl. So, back to how this started... My husband, knowing that I go stir crazy, suggested I try making all natural homemade soap. Being a crafty person this seemed like an interesting challenge and I proceeded to spend a couple of months pouring over the web to learn how soap is made, what shouldn't be in soap, the hazards and follies of making soap, and how to make a soap recipe until I finally felt I could try a batch myself. My first batch wasn't as bad or as hard as I had initially predicted and I was hooked. I have since made numerous batches, tested adding pigments and essential oils, and of course pawned samples off on guinea pigs ... ummm ... I mean friends. LOL

And so, Cream & Sugar Soap Works was born and will continue to make my house and yours smell lovely when you use our soap.
