Could reducing your cancer risk start in your bathroom?

A human study in 2023 asked 40 women with no history of breast cancer to replace personal-care products containing parabens and phthalates for just 28 days.

Researchers collected urine samples and breast-tissue cells before and after the intervention.

After 28 days, they found reduced exposure to several paraben and phthalate metabolites and changes within healthy breast cells that shifted away from biological patterns associated with cancer development.

And I think that deserves our attention.

For a little while, I’ve been a bit quieter here, and I wanted to tell you why.

But recently I found myself caught in the same cycle many of us are trying to escape…constantly thinking about the next post, the next reel, the next trend, the next hook to stop the scroll.

As a mom of three little ones and the founder of a small business, I realized I wasn’t fully living the message I share every day.

So I’ve been taking my own advice.

Less pressure. Less rushing. Less noise.

That doesn’t mean I’m disappearing. I’ll still be here, sharing products, behind-the-scenes moments, beautiful things, and pieces of our journey. But maybe a little more intentionally.

Honestly, I miss the old days of Instagram. A simple photo. A meaningful caption. A glimpse into someone’s life without every post needing to compete for attention.

So that’s what I’m leaning back into.

Less performing. More sharing.

Less chasing the algorithm. More creating things I genuinely enjoy.

After all, if Less & Lavish stands for anything, it’s that a beautiful life isn’t built by constantly doing more.

It’s built by making space for what matters most.
