There is something incredibly beautiful about women who know how to enjoy life.
Long afternoons by the water.
Beautiful rituals.
Intentional self care.
An appreciation for quality over excess.
At Less & Lavish, we believe the products you use every day should feel just as luxurious as the life you are creating.
Beauty is so much more than appearance alone.
Itās a way of living. A way of being.
My unpopular opinion, is that most hair growth shampoos are selling you marketing⦠not results.
Shampoo has one primary job: cleanse the scalp.
And because it gets rinsed away so quickly, there is very little opportunity for āmiracle growth ingredientsā to make any meaningful difference.
Real hair growth starts with:
⢠A healthy scalp
⢠Proper nutrition
⢠Better sleep
⢠Lower stress
⢠Consistent treatments that actually stay on the scalp
A clean scalp creates the foundation and everything else comes after. Removing buildup, excess oil, and keeping the scalp environment healthy is one of the first and most important steps in supporting stronger, healthier hair and shampoo is already doing all that.
Not every product category needs to promise magical results.
Weāre living in a world that constantly tells us we need to earn rest.
Finish the work.
Clean the house.
Answer the emails.
Lose the weight.
Make the money.
Hit the goal.
Then maybe youāve earned a break.
But rest isnāt a reward⦠itās one of the things that helps us become healthier, happier, more present versions of ourselves.
The older I get, the more I realize that slowing down isnāt laziness. Itās basic maintenance.
A quiet cup of tea.
A walk around the lake.
A long shower.
A scalp massage.
Extended time without a screen.
These things arenāt distractions from life.
They are life.
In many ways, thatās the heart of Less & Lavish.
We love healthy hair, but your hair is a direct reflection of your overall health and well-being, and if you are overworked and overstressed, you cannot have healthy hair.
So by creating little moments that encourage us to slow down, breathe, and care for ourselves in a world that constantly asks us to do more, we will truly begin to see the results in our skin, hair and our inner glow.
I donāt think we need another productivity hack. Perhaps just the permission to rest.
Do you find it easy to rest, or do you feel like you have to earn it first?
One of the biggest misconceptions in hair care is believing that when your hair becomes dry, brittle, dull, or harder to manage⦠it means your hair is simply ādamagedā or āagingā.
Itās usually more nuanced than that.
As we get older, hair is constantly responding to accumulated stress over time. Hormonal shifts can change oil production.
Years of heat styling and chemical processing slowly weaken the hair fiber. Harsh detergents can repeatedly strip the scalp and disrupt the hair over time.
And many conventional products focus on creating the appearance of healthy hair rather than actually improving its condition.
The truth is, healthy hair comes down to understanding the scalp, hair structure and product ingredients.
Understanding what your hair is actually responding to. Thatās exactly why I created Less & Lavish.
I believe hair care should do more than make hair look healthy for a few hours.
It should support genuinely healthy hair over time using ingredients chosen intentionally, not just cheaply.
Beautiful hair comes from understanding what youāre putting on your body.
The internet seems to be having a clean beauty identity crisis.
A few years ago, everything was ātoxic.ā
Now the conversation has swung so far in the opposite direction that some people are acting like absolutely nothing matters.
Personally, I think both extremes miss the point.
I understand why many people became frustrated with fear-based marketing. Nobody should live in constant fear of every ingredient they encounter.
At the same time, I donāt think itās unreasonable to question cumulative exposure in a world where weāre exposed to countless chemicals through personal care products, cleaning products, packaging, fragrance, food, and our environment every single day.
But thoughtful consumers asking questions shouldnāt be dismissed either.
I donāt believe in fear.
I donāt believe in perfection.
I believe in informed choices, nuance, and understanding.
Iām very curious where you stand on this conversation. Have we gone too far in one direction⦠or are we finally finding balance? let me know your thoughts!
On May 20, I took the first photos and video.
I had thinner areas around my temples that have slowly crept in. I noticed them every time I pulled my hair back.
So I decided to start being consistent.
A few times a week, I gently used a derma roller on those specific areas and followed with my Hair Growth Concentrate. No complicated routine, just consistency.
These clips were taken less than three weeks apart. š³
Iām honestly surprised by how much new growth Iām already seeing along my hairline.
Of course, everyoneās hair is different, and hair growth is influenced by many factors, but seeing these new hairs appearing where there was very little before has me incredibly excited to continue documenting the journey.
Iāll keep sharing updates as I go. šš
