4. use soothing ingredients like aloe, chamomile & cucumber along with more powerful ingreidnets like retinol
5. dont use more than 1 new product at a time to ensure your skin can take it well
6/ dont mix potent ingredients together unless specifically directed
7. if you are using a powerful ingredient try using a thick creme along with it (like the MAX stem cell creme)
