The truth is, stopping and restarting your Retinol routine forces your skin through an adjustment period every season.

Like so many aspects of life, consistency is the secret to Retinol's long-term benefits like evening out hyperpigmentation, boosting collagen and normalizing cell function. Taking months off every summer means interrupting your progress - something none of us want!

In fact, using it in the Summer assists in countering oxidative stress!

With this being said, it is important to ensure you maintain these steadfast Summer Retinol Rules:

Retinol breaks down and becomes less effective in sunlight, so save it for your bedtime routine 😴
▪︎ Prioritize Sun Protection:
Daily SPF is non-negotiable! Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 every morning and reapply it regularly, especially if you spend time outdoors
▪︎ Listen To Your Skin: If you are planning a beach vacation or spending prolonged hours under intense sun, you can dial back the frequency of retinol for a few days to avoid excess irritation or you can switch to a lower concentration in the Summer if you’re experiencing sensitivity
