Do you remember your first live model?

Your first paid full set? The first client who rebooked? Those firsts stay with you.

Tomorrow, our student begins Day 3 with supervised hands-on practice on a live model. We’ll also work through consultation and assessment, application methods, and the blueprint that brings a complete appointment together—with more troubleshooting along the way.

At Lash Legends, the goal isn’t speed on day one. It’s learning to notice, make a decision, and understand why.

Why teach the eyes before the hands?

Day 2 of Beyond Classic took us into adhesive behaviour, troubleshooting, and the natural lash factors that can affect attachment and retention. Then came my student’s first live extension-application demonstration.

I demonstrate first on purpose. Before she has to assess, isolate and place at the same time, I want her to see the sequence—the pauses, choices and corrections. That gives hands-on practice a clear reference. It doesn’t replace practice; it makes practice more intentional.

Learning to place lashes is only the beginning. The real confidence comes from understanding why a technique works—and when to change it.

Who makes a good lash artist?

Not necessarily the person with the fastest hands on day one.

It’s the person willing to practise, notice the small details, ask why something isn’t working, and care for the natural lash behind every set.

You don’t need to arrive with a “natural gift.” You need curiosity, patience and a willingness to learn the craft.
