❄️ Always Cold? Your Body Might Be Trying to Tell You Something. ❄️

Feeling cold all the time isn’t always “just the way you are.” Sometimes it’s your body’s way of letting you know that something deserves a closer look.

Possible factors can include:
• Hypothyroidism
• Iron deficiency (anemia)
• Poor sleep
• Poor nutrition
• Low muscle mass
• Certain medications, such as beta-blockers

Your physical health and your mental health go hand in hand. When your body isn’t functioning at its best, it can affect your energy, mood, focus, and overall quality of life.

✨ Listen to your body. Don’t ignore persistent symptoms. Talk to your healthcare provider, ask questions, and advocate for your health. Small changes and early intervention can make a big difference.

At Capital City Massage Therapy, I believe in looking at the whole person, not just treating symptoms. While massage therapy and manual osteopathy don’t treat medical conditions like hypothyroidism or anemia, they may help reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, promote relaxation, and support your overall well-being as part of your healthcare plan.

💙 Take care of yourself. Your body is with you for life.

💜 Fibromyalgia is real, (even if others can’t see it).

Living with fibromyalgia can mean dealing with persistent pain, fatigue, poor sleep, and brain fog. While there isn’t a cure, supportive care may help you better manage your symptoms and improve your quality of life.

At Capital City Massage Therapy, treatment plans are tailored to your individual needs and may help reduce muscle tension, promote relaxation, improve mobility, and support better sleep, so you can focus on living, not just getting through the day.

💡 Disclaimer: Massage therapy is not a cure for fibromyalgia. It may help manage symptoms for some individuals, but results vary. Always consult your physician or healthcare provider regarding the diagnosis and management of fibromyalgia and before beginning any new treatment.

I finally had my vehicle decaled up, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

A huge thank you to JC Print & Marketing (10460 176 Street, West Edmonton) for bringing my vision to life. From start to finish, their customer service, attention to detail, and quality of work were outstanding. They truly care about the people they serve, and it shows.

As a small business owner myself, I know firsthand what it means every time someone chooses to support local.

When you support a local business, you’re not helping a giant corporation, you’re helping a real family. You’re helping put food on the table, pay the bills, support their children, and keep their dream alive. Your support stays right here in our community and helps local businesses continue to grow.

If you’re looking for vehicle decals, signage, printing, or marketing materials, I highly recommend JC Print & Marketing. They did an incredible job, and I’m proud to support another amazing local Edmonton business.

Thank you again for making my vehicle look fantastic! I absolutely LOVE it!

❤️ Support local. Support families. Support your community.

Pain isn’t something you have to “just live with.”

As a Manual Osteopath, I take a whole-body approach to assessing how your body’s structure may be contributing to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.

Treatment may help with conditions such as:
✨ Joint pain
✨ Chronic pain
✨ Migraines & headaches
✨ Pelvic and spinal dysfunction
✨ Craniosacral therapy
✨ Circulation concerns
✨ Stress and tension
✨ Sleep difficulties
✨ Neuropathy symptoms
✨ And more…

Every treatment is personalized because no two bodies and no two stories are the same. 🌟

💡 Disclaimer: Manual osteopathy is intended to support the body’s natural function and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment. Results vary from person to person. *Neuropathy-related symptoms may be supported through manual therapy techniques, but manual osteopathy does not cure neuropathy. Please consult your physician for diagnosis and medical management.

🚗 Injured in a Motor Vehicle Accident? You Have the Right to Choose Your Own Healthcare Providers.

If you’ve been involved in a motor vehicle accident, the first step is to see a physician or visit a walk-in clinic to be assessed. A doctor needs to evaluate your injuries and provide a diagnosis before your treatment plan can begin.

Once you’ve been assessed by a physician, you have the right to choose your own healthcare providers. You are not required to see the chiropractor, physiotherapist, massage therapist, or other practitioner recommended by your insurance company or anyone else.

✅ The choice is yours.

Depending on your injuries and treatment plan, you may choose to see a:

• Registered Massage Therapist
• Physiotherapist
• Chiropractor
• Or another qualified healthcare provider involved in your recovery.

Your recovery is personal, and you deserve care from professionals you trust.

If you have questions about the process after an accident or how treatment works in Alberta, I’d be happy to help guide you through the next steps.

Coverage, treatment approvals, and funding depend on your diagnosis, your insurer’s policy, and Alberta’s motor vehicle accident benefits. Always follow the advice of your physician and healthcare providers.

Migraine headaches are more than “just a headache.” 💙

If migraines are interfering with your work, family time, or quality of life, Manual Osteopathy may help address tension and restrictions that can contribute to pain and discomfort.

At Capital City Massage Therapy, treatments are tailored to your individual needs and may include gentle cranial techniques, myofascial release, and assessment of the neck and upper body to help improve mobility, reduce muscle tension, and promote relaxation.

💡 Disclaimer: Manual Osteopathy is not a cure for migraines, and results vary from person to person. If you experience new, severe, or persistent headaches, consult your healthcare provider for assessment.

✈️ One of the simplest things you can do for your body is keep your feet moving!

Try gently pumping your feet back and forth every few minutes. This activates your calf muscles often called your body’s “second heart”—which helps encourage healthy blood flow back toward your heart. ❤️

This quick movement may help:
✅ Reduce stiffness
✅ Improve circulation
✅ Decrease swelling in the feet and ankles
✅ Keep your legs feeling more comfortable throughout the day

Small habits can make a big difference over time!

💡 Disclaimer: This is general educational information and is not a substitute for medical advice. If you experience persistent leg pain, swelling, numbness, chest pain, or shortness of breath, seek medical attention promptly. Always consult your healthcare provider if you have concerns about your circulation or underlying medical conditions.

🪑 If you spend hours sitting at a desk, behind the wheel, or operating equipment, don’t underestimate the importance of keeping your circulation moving.

One of the simplest things you can do is gently pump your feet back and forth throughout the day. Point your toes away from you, then pull them back toward you. This small movement helps activate your calf muscles, often called your body’s “second heart”, which assist with returning blood from your legs back toward your heart.

💙 Set a reminder to move your feet every 20–30 minutes, especially if you’re unable to get up and walk around. Small movements can make a big difference in helping reduce stiffness and keeping your body feeling its best.

Your body was designed to move, even when you’re sitting.

If you have swelling, pain, numbness, circulation concerns, a history of blood clots, or any medical condition affecting your legs or circulation, consult your healthcare provider before starting any new exercise or movement routine.
