I knew it was coming, I pushed it deep down into my toes....be the strong one. Lastnight I had the weirdest dream, today I got emotional doing a reflexology session on a client and it hit me..cancel the rest of your clients and go to the hospital. There I see my brother so small, fraile, struggling to breathe and it hit me like the worst punch in my guts and took my breathe away, a lump in my chest and throat, like I swallowed rocks. Time is getting closer, the fight is getting harder and He will leave me. I don't want to see him suffer but I dont want to live without him, he's been here for me for 53 years. I don't want my house without him in it, there will be nothing but loneliness and memories. It got me....tonight I broke 💔 💔 💔

The other day Lenny finally spoke words of truth to palliative care about having to put on fake smiles, acting strong, what it takes to get ready for a visit, how tired he gets and how people will say oh you look good today when he feels like complete s**t. I on the other hand will tell him brother you look like s**t today, and his son Mikey will say the same dont lie to me cause you look like s**t Father....Thank you for showing up yesterday to my other son Myles and always making Lenny laugh hard because the two of you are always so bad together, we love you. Yesterday we spent 5 hours watching this man genuinely laugh, smile, sleep, hold his chest in pain, hold his head in pain, get suctioned and fight for air to breathe. Lenny has the best SLP in the world that came to the hospital to see him and check his TEP because it was leaking and that is due to structural changes inside his throat and we shared some great laughs while Janice was there as well. Although this journey has literally drained me inside and out and I'm emotionally dying inside that I do not show to Lenny there's nothing worse than watching the pain in my mothers eyes as she watches her son fight for his life or air to breathe 💔...I have to say thank you to Kristin Kravis for going back and forth to let Bella out to p*e and then for her and Kyle Joshua Jennings for going to spend time with Lenny after we left the hospital yesterday.
Medical update will come next week.

YOUR FEET MAY BE TELLING YOU MORE THAN YOU THINK… 👣
I’m so excited to hopefully introduce REFLEXOLOGY at TYL!
If you’ve never experienced reflexology before, this is your invitation to discover why so many people fall in love with it after their first session.
Reflexology is so much more than a foot massage.
Using focused pressure on specific reflex points of the feet, a reflexology session is designed to encourage deep relaxation, support circulation, ease tension and help your body shift out of that constant go-go-go state.
And sometimes… you don’t realize just how much tension you’ve been carrying until your body finally gets the opportunity to relax.
👣 Reflexology may help support: • Stress & relaxation
• Better sleep
• Tension relief
• Circulation
• Overall well-being
• A calmer, more grounded feeling
Your session is 45 minutes dedicated completely to YOU — time to unplug, settle in and simply allow yourself to receive.
If you’ve been curious about reflexology, this is the perfect time to comment or select on TYL page
Come put your feet up…
your whole body will thank you. 👣

I don’t open up very often about what all of this has done to me.
For ten years, I have watched my brother fight for his life.
Ten years of cancer. Ten years of appointments, hospitals, scares, emergencies, bad news, hope, relief, and then doing it all over again.
There have been so many times that we were basically told Lenny was going to die. And somehow, every single time, he fought his way back.
I’ve witnessed things over these years that I don’t think I’ve ever really processed. Things that have traumatized me more than I probably even realize. But there was never time to fall apart, because Lenny needed me.
So I did what I always do.
I pushed it down somewhere deep inside me, got up the next day, and kept going.
I have changed my life around this journey more times than I can count. I have cancelled things, changed plans, put things on hold and rearranged my entire life when I needed to.
And I would do every single bit of it again.
But there is another part of this journey that I haven't talked much about.
The disappointment.
It has been hard watching so many people continue living their everyday lives with very little changing, while mine changed over and over again.
We come from a big family, and yet help was scarce.
There weren't many calls asking, “What do you need?” or “What can I take off your plate?” There weren't many offers to sit with him so I could breathe, take care of something in my own life, or simply have a day where I wasn't the one worrying about what came next.
And yes, I know part of that is on me.
I refused to ask for help.
Maybe because I am stubborn. Maybe because I felt like I should be able to handle it. But also because there is a part of me that always believed I shouldn't have had to beg people to see that we needed help.
What has been especially difficult is watching how scarce company could sometimes be during the ordinary days... until Lenny ended up in the hospital.
Then people came in droves.
And I'm grateful that people love him. I truly am.
But there is also a sadness in me that wonders where everyone was during all those regular days when he was sitting at home, when he could have used the company, and when I could have

And here we are again, soon they will know Ms Mylah by name. Little Lah Lah went home but now the hours of waiting for tests and answers begins. Lenny has had a major decline in the last week, not eating, he can't stay awake, loss of memory, chest pressure and pains, only has a whisper of voice and not much energy for movement. He tried to say wait one more day but thankfully I dont usually listen to him, I told him pack a bag, let's go see palliative care and here we are. Please keep him in your prayers

One More Conversation: I love him so much, I hate watching him suffer
Happy Feet Reflexology Wellness Center More Conversation: I love him so much, I hate watching him suffer

Well Lenny and I got home before 3am this morning. Lenny has infection again and they said it could be growth of the mass as well. Started 2 rounds of IV lastnight and he will be on antibiotics. Lenny is still lethargic, falling asleep during conversation. I'm hoping to see improvements within 24 to 48 hours of the antibiotics or I'm taking him back. Got my baby girl again so mommy can go to school and Daddy can work...this is how family should be. Step up and help out any minute possible

We are here again....I don’t normally write posts like this, but tonight my heart feels heavy, and maybe another caregiver needs to hear this too.
Sometimes being the strong one is exhausting.
I love my family more than anything, and I would do anything for them. But somewhere along the way, I became the person everyone depends on.
With Lenny, I am his main caregiver. When he isn’t doing well, my life stops too. I’m the one beside him, taking him to appointments, sitting at the hospital, changing my plans and cancelling clients when I need to. I accepted that role because he is my brother and I love him beyond words.
But accepting the responsibility doesn’t mean I don’t need help sometimes.
Sometimes it would mean everything for someone to simply say, Do you need me to sit with him for a couple of hours. Go do something for yourself. Do you need help with making him meals. Would you like a coffee?
Then there’s my mom, who needs me too. I try to be there for her sometimes and get her to appointments.
My daughter started school, and theres no childcare so I help with the baby several nights and days a week because I want her to have the opportunity to build a future for herself and her family.
I have other children and grandchildren I love and want to spend time with but barely get too. I have a business I’m desperately trying to keep going. I have bills that don’t stop because life got hard.
And somewhere underneath all of those roles… there’s me.
Lately I don’t know where she fits.
I’m tired. I feel alone sometimes. And even writing those words makes me feel guilty, because caregivers become so used to putting everyone else first that admitting we’re struggling can somehow feel selfish.
But it isn’t selfish to say, “This is heavy.”
You can love someone with your entire heart and still be exhausted.
You can be grateful to have them here and still wish someone would take care of you for a little while.
You can be the strong one and still cry.
And you can need help without loving anyone any less.
So tonight I’m allowing myself to say it without immediately taking it back:
I’m tired.
I’m carrying a lot.
I love my family more than they will probably ever understand
