โจ Meet Matthew Pennell, our new Kinesiologist! โจ
Weโre excited to welcome Matthew to the Citadel Physiotherapy team!
Matthew graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics, majoring in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Sciences. Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, his lifelong involvement in competitive sports shaped his passion for movement, exercise, and rehabilitation.
During his time at StFX, Matthew spent five years as a member of the X-Men varsity basketball program and served as team captain for two seasons. His experience as a student-athlete, along with his background in coaching and mentoring young athletes, gave him a strong appreciation for how movement and exercise can help people achieve their goals.
As a Kinesiologist, Matthew enjoys helping clients build strength, improve mobility, and feel more confident in their physical abilities. He values an individualized approach to exercise and rehabilitation and enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities to help them return to the activities that are meaningful to them.
Outside of the clinic, Matthew enjoys strength training, playing basketball, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family. He remains involved in basketball through both playing and coaching and is always looking for new ways to challenge himself physically.

Weโre excited to welcome Tyler to the Citadel Physiotherapy team!
Tyler Wiseman graduated from Dalhousie University in 2026 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Certificate in Disability Management. Originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, Tyler has always been involved in sports and enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle. During his time at Dalhousie, he played varsity volleyball for three years and had the opportunity to represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the Canada Games.
Through his education and experience in physiotherapy settings, Tyler developed a passion for helping people improve their strength, mobility, and confidence in movement. He enjoys working with individuals of different ages and abilities, taking the time to understand each person and what matters most to them.
Outside of the clinic, Tyler enjoys going to the gym, playing and watching sports, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. He also enjoys being outdoors and trying new activities whenever he gets the opportunity.
