Healthy relationships arenât about communicating perfectly. Theyâre about learning how to communicate better, together.
Sometimes, small changes can make a big difference. Pausing before responding, choosing curiosity over blame, and taking ownership when we've hurt someone can help build stronger, healthier connections. đą
Remember, itâs not about never disagreeing. Itâs about learning how to work through disagreements with care, respect, and understanding.
What is one communication tip that's made a difference in your relationships?

Therapy isnât only for when things reach a crisis point.
It can also be a space to check in with yourself, work through everyday stress, navigate changes, improve relationships, understand your emotions, or simply feel more supported.
Sometimes it can be helpful to ask yourself: How am I doing in the different areas of my life?
Think about your relationships, work, mental and physical health, finances, recreation, personal growth, and the environment around you. If something feels harder than usualâor you just donât feel quite like yourselfâit may be worth reaching out.
You donât have to wait until things feel unbearable to seek support.
And finding the right therapist matters. Itâs okay if the first person you meet isnât the right fit. Therapy is personal, and feeling comfortable, understood, and able to be yourself is an important part of the process.

Menopause is something so many people go through, but it still isnât talked about nearly enough.
Weâre sharing the Menopause Foundation of Canadaâs Menopause Policy Agenda for Canada, which is bringing more attention to the gaps that still exist when it comes to menopause care, support, and understanding.
At RNG Counselling, we know that perimenopause and menopause can affect so much more than physical health. They can also impact mood, sleep, relationships, stress, confidence, and overall wellbeing.
People deserve to feel heard, supported, and informed through every stage of this transition.
The more we talk about menopause, the more we can help reduce the stigma around it. đ

Meet Chrissi đż
Although Chrissi is not currently accepting new clients, we wanted to take a moment to introduce the person behind so much of what happens at Root Nurture Grow Counselling.
As Clinic Director, Chrissi helps guide our team, and plays an important role in creating the welcoming, collaborative and client-centred environment we strive for at RNG.
Her experience as a psychotherapist continues to shape the care, values and direction of our practice, and weâre so grateful for the knowledge and leadership she brings to our team.
Weâre excited for you to get to know her a little better!

What someone is wearing doesnât cause r**e.
Drinking doesnât cause r**e.
Flirting doesnât cause r**e.
Walking home alone doesnât cause r**e.
The person who chooses to r**e someone causes r**e.
We need to stop asking what someone could have done differently and start putting the responsibility where it actually belongs.
