The McCormick Care Group is a non-denominational charitable organization based in London, Ontario, providing compassionate care to the community.
McCormick Care Group operates McCormick Home, a long-term care facility for seniors; McCormick Dementia Services, to provide care and support to people living in the community with dementia and their care partners; and McCormick Dementia Research, to push innovation in dementia care and develop new ways to manage dementia for people and their families. While each plays a unique role in caring for those with dementia, they’re all guided by the same principles for providing compassionate care.
Every person carries a lifetime of stories, experiences, relationships and accomplishments that have shaped who they are.
Dementia may change the way someone remembers or communicates those stories, but it does not take away the life they have lived or the person they continue to be.
Through “I Once Was…”, clients at McCormick Dementia Services shared glimpses of the roles they’ve held, the things they’ve loved and the experiences that have made them who they are.
When we look beyond dementia and take the time to truly see the person, we honour their story and the dignity, compassion and respect they deserve.

The words "thank you" do not feel big enough to express how grateful we are to for their incredible donation of $14,250!
In June, KML hosted their annual Ladies Charity Dinner and chose to support our Foundation. Because of the 125 generous women who attended and donated, this amazing gift will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve .
The Care Group's CEO Karen Johnson and the Foundation's Executive Director Riya Seethal were honoured to accept the cheque from Kelley, Michael, and Lorie.

Join us for Maggie's Run on September 12 and run or walk to honour someone whose life has been touched by dementia. It may be a parent, grandparent, partner, family member, friend, or the name chosen from a list of clients and residents of McCormick Care Group. Run in support of those living with dementia, in memory of those we've lost, and in support of the dedicated caregivers who are beside them.
Stickers will be available on race day where your honouree's name can be written and then worn on display. Together, we will honour them, raise hope, and support McCormick Care Group where no one faces dementia alone. For more information, visit the link in bio.
