Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour the Survivors of residential schools, the children who never returned home, and their families and communities. 🧡

For generations, Indigenous children were separated from their families, languages and cultures through Canada’s residential school system. The painful effects of that history continue to be felt by First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples today.

May this day encourage us to listen to Indigenous voices, learn the truth, reflect with compassion and recognize that reconciliation requires continued understanding and action—not only today, but throughout the year.
