You may hate the system, but never hate your land. No matter how broken things get, your homeland will always be a part of you.
Born in Pakistan, Raised in Pakistan, Living in Canada. Today I have two identities, and I am proud of both.
It’s easy to celebrate from far away. It’s harder to ignore what’s happening back home — economic pressure, slow growth barely matching our population, political instability that is stopping new investment, and families who are just trying to survive.
But if you were raised there, you know: Pakistan has survived worse. We always do.
My celebration today is a dua.
A dua for halaat to get better. For our people to get relief. For us overseas Pakistanis to do more than just post — to actually help, invest, and speak well for our country.
