Something new is coming this fall. 🦊🐻

Taylor from TLC Pasture Pieces and I are collaborating again, and this time our inspiration comes from the wildlife that shares our pastures.

🦊 Foxes on deep mossy green
🐻 Bears on warm rust colored lounge sweaters

We have had a pair of foxes winter in our bales for the last few years, and watching their kits play and grow from our sunroom windows has become one of my favourite parts of spring and summer. Bears are a little less likely to make an appearance, but we see plenty of signs that they are sharing the land with us too.

It felt so special to bring these animals into our fall collaboration and create something that reflects a little piece of the place we call home.

Taylor’s beautiful handmade appliqué + my grow with me lounge sweaters = wearable art that fits through three sizes. ❤️

These will only be available once this fall, so if you’ve been waiting for another TLC Pasture Pieces x Wheat & Wildflower collaboration, you’ll want to keep an eye out.

Watch for them to be added online next week!

I can’t wait for these! 🍂

No two jackets are ever the same, and honestly, that’s my favourite part. ✨

A little bit of where you come from. A little bit of where you’re going. And a whole lot of you in between.

Rooted in the farm life that inspires me, refined for wherever life takes you.

Just another way TLC Pasture Pieces turns pieces of life into something you can wear.

Still Rooted, just Refined. 🤎

Sometimes I make things that aren’t sweaters, but still come with just as much story. 🤎

This little cowboy dreams of being like Dale Brisby & JB Mauney when he grows up, so naturally, for Halloween (and probably every day leading up & after 😂), he needed a bull riding vest.

So Mama made one. 🥹🤠

And honestly, watching your kids dream big enough to need their own custom gear might just be one of my favourite parts of being their mama.

Some sweaters are made to match an outfit. Some are made to tell a story. ❤️🐮

This one was made especially for my soon to be birthday boy, because if there’s one thing Elijah loves, it’s his cattle.

Elba & AJ, together on a sweater, just like they are in real life. His heart heifer and his little bull calf, captured in fabric for him to wear wherever his little cowboy takes them. 🥹

And because he’s turning 8 next week, I figured he needed a little piece of his own story stitched into one of his favourite things.

I cannot believe I’m going to be a mama to an 8yo next week 😅❤️
Mama’s pretty lucky to get to make your crazy little ideas into something you can wear. 🐄✨

If the walls of my sewing room could talk, I think they’d have a lot of grandma stories to tell. 🤍

Some of the things in this room belonged to my grandmas. Some belonged to my great-gram. And some came from women who weren’t technically my grandmas, but were apart of my life in a way that felt pretty dang close.

Old sewing notions, little treasures, things that have been used and loved, and pieces that probably wouldn’t mean much to anyone else.

But to me, they’re little pieces of the women who taught me that making things with your hands is a pretty special kind of love.

So when I sit down to sew in here, I’m surrounded by more than fabric and thread.

I’m surrounded by women who came before me.
Women who made things.
Women who loved fiercely.
And women whose little pieces of life somehow found their way into mine.

Maybe that’s why this room feels so much like home. 🧵🤎

Last year vs. this year in the sewing room 🧵✨

Same room. Same sewing machine. A LOT more sweaters.

But let’s talk about the lighting upgrade. 😂

Last year, I was asking my brother what he used to light up his clipping area at the farm because apparently I had decided sewing in a dark basement was totally acceptable.

An amazon package with lights arrived at my door. He gifted me some of the lights… and WOW. 💡🤣

So if you received a TLC Pasture Piece before the lighting upgrade, just know it was lovingly made in a dark place. 😂🫣

Honestly though, looking at these two photos side by side is a little wild. A year of sewing, hundreds of sweaters, and this tiny room has slowly turned into my little business.

Same chaos. Better lighting. 🤎🧵✨
